Gameball Monday: Jaguars @ Titans
By Jeff Fuqua
Posted December 18th, 2006

A gameball is given each Monday after a victory to a player on offense, defense and special teams.

Offense
Pacman Jones
14-yard reception

Why not? He generated 14% of the Titans offense Sunday in one play and he's a defensive starter. Sure, you could make a case for Bobby Wade and his 48 yards or Travis Henry with a 16-yard gainer with the Titans backed up against their own goal line but what fun is that?

Defense
Pacman Jones
4 tackles, 3 Passes Defended, 1/2 sack, 1 INT returned 83 yards for a TD.

This very well could have gone to S Chris Hope with his 10 tackles and an INT returned 61-yards for a TD or LB Steven Tulloch for his team-leading 11 tackles on defense along with his one special teams stop and onside kick recovery but Jones got the Titans the early lead and broke up a huge fourth down pass to Matt Jones in
one-on-one coverage who is, at least, eight inches taller than him.

Special Teams
Pacman Jones
70-yard kickoff return, 8-yard punt return

P Craig Hentrich made some clutch punts and K Rob Bironas made a FG but Pacman clearly deserves the trifecta this week and should be considered for the NFL Player of the Week for his game against the Jaguars.
