Upon Further Review: Jaguars at Titans Grades By Phil Luckett

Quarterback The Vince Young Rookie of the Week train finally derails as the Jags only allowed him to touch the football 34 times on Sunday. He did protect the football well though had a brain cramp passing the ball late in the game leaving the Jags much more time than they should have had. He also took a 20 yard sack which hurt field position. Young finished the day 8-for-15 for 85 yards and a 70.1 passer rating. He only ran for four yards net.

A gameball is given each Monday after a victory to a player on offense, defense and special teams.
Offense Pacman Jones 14-yard reception
Why not? He generated 14% of the Titans offense Sunday in one play and he's a defensive starter. Sure, you could make a case for Bobby Wade and his 48 yards or Travis Henry with a 16-yard gainer with the Titans backed up against their own goal line but what fun is that? The Jaguars return home stunned, but the loss brings about an all-too familiar result. Just a week after defeating the first-place Indianapolis Colts with 375 rushing yards, Jacksonville dropped another road game and another game against an opponent that has a losing record.
The Jaguars finish the season 1-3 against Tennessee and Houston, the third- and fourth- place teams in the AFC South. They are also 2-5 away from Alltel Stadium. With games remaining against New England and on the road against Kansas City, the Jaguars could finish as well as 10-6 or at worst 8-8.

Quarterback I'm not sure I can add much to all the accolades already said about Vince Young. He deserves all the praise he gets including talk of him being the front-runner for Rookie of the Year. He was 19-for-29 for 218 yards yesterday along with another 86 with his legs. He's now 6-4 as a starting QB. Does anyone not named Merrill Hoge believe he isn't for real?

Offense Vince Young 19-for-29 for 218 yards, 1 INT, 73.6 RT, 7 carries for 86 yards, 12.3 average, 1 TD
Don't you know Bud Adams has to feel like a little kid on Christmas morning? How satisfying it must be for him to extend the middle finger to the Texans franchise while keeping his hands in his pockets.
Young accounted for over 300 yards of offense yesterday and now has to be considered a Rookie of the Year candidate. MOREDISCUSS View From the Other Side: Houston Texans By Jeff Fuqua

Vince Young wore a visitor's uniform to Reliant Stadium for Sunday's game between the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans, but that was a mere fashion statement.
At game's end, VY was the host with the most, exchanging high fives with fans, throwing equipment to star-struck little boys, pounding his chest and blowing kisses to the assembled throng.
Reliant, you see, may be the Texans' home, but it's Vince Young's house.

New Titans GM Says Pacman May Not be on '07 Roster By Staff Report
Posted February 23rd, 2007
When Titans GM Mike Reinfeldt was asked this afternoon if Pacman Jones may not be on his team's 2007 roster, his reply was "I would assume there is that potential." Reinfeldt mentioned that the incident in Las Vegas which is currently being investigated has forced the Titans to spend crucial time discussing Jones and less time on the draft picks and players they are evaluating at the combine. "We've spent a lot of time talking about this internally, and that is time we could have been talking about draft picks, but we've spent time on it because it is a concern," Reinfeldt said. Fisher Faces Questions on the Pacman Incident By Staff Report
Posted February 23rd, 2007
Titans Coach Jeff Fisher met with the media today at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis and was immediately asked about the Pacman Jones investigation. “There has been wide spread speculation and allegations tying Adam Jones to an incident that took place early this week very early one morning in Las Vegas," said Fisher. "I can tell you that Adam Jones is cooperating fully with the Las Vegas police department. I can tell you that we have not been in contract with Adam. The organization is in a position now where it’s very difficult to comment until we are able to obtain facts from the standpoint of what took place. It’s a very unfortunate incident and when the organization obtains more information then we will be in position to answer questions that you have.” SOURCEDISCUSS

RB Brown Ready to Move On By Staff Report
Posted February 20th, 2007
RB Chris Brown is ready to move onto the next phase of his career as he enters free agency on March 2. “We’re preparing Chris for free agency, and we’re looking forward to it,” Agent Ryan Morgan said. Brown requested a trade during training camp last year. Among the teams who were supposedly good fits were the Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets and Denver Broncos. “We feel like Chris has a lot left for whichever team he winds up fitting with,” Morgan said. The Titans have not shown any interest in Brown according to his agent. SOURCEDISCUSS
