Upon Further Review: Displaced Fans, Run CJ Run and Other Ramblings

Last week in an Associated Press article by Teresa Walker, she blew my mind with this wild stat:

"In major professional sports, only Jerry Sloan of the NBA's Utah Jazz and Bobby Cox of the Atlanta Braves have coached their teams longer than Fisher's 14 seasons. Since he became head coach in 1995 after coaching the final six games of 1994 with the then-Houston Oilers, the NFL's 31 other franchises had gone through 97 head coaches entering this season."

And we already have Linehan and Kiffin out so far this season and I'm thinking Lewis' head my roll soon. That'll make 100. Amazing.

goTitans.com attracts a number of displaced Titans fans from all over the world. Someone has finally decided to start a contest around it. DIRECTV has a search on for America's Ultimate Displaced Fan with the winner receiving the ultimate Super Bowl experience including tickets and travel to the Super Bowl in Tampa along with a number of other VIP treatments.

If you have a case of the Displaced Fan Syndrome (DFS), check out the rules for entry at http://www.displacedfansearch.com/. If you do enter an essay, photos or video, be sure to post it on goTitans.com as well.

The Chiefs are dead last in the NFL against the run. Chris Johnson is due a breakout game. This sounds like the perfect storm to me and I would not be surprised to see the rookie RB make a serious push for Offensive Rookie of the Year over the next few games.

After the Chiefs, the Titans are home vs. the Colts (29th vs. the run) and the Packers (27th vs. the run). He'll be getting a lot of love from the national media at the midway point of the season.

First the first time in a long while, Vince Young spoke to the media. Among some strange stuff about how Kerry Collins starting is making Vince a stronger black man was this line:

"We have a lot of respect for each other and not just football. He helps me out with accounting and all that kind of things. I want to get that out there right now."

During these tough economic times, I'm glad to know Vince has some free accounting advice.

Anyone take any of that 40/1 to 45/1 action for the Titans to win Super Bowl LXII from a few months back? Their over/under for wins for the season was set at eight. Those who took the over are sitting pretty at the moment.
