52 yard punt return for a Touchdown and NO flags.

Its about damn time.

It's about time he got one. He was certainly due! Can you explain the run? Did he just hit a hole and out run everyone? Did he have to shake any defenders?

the ball bounced he grabbed spun... hit a hole and he was gone. He is what everyone expected and more as a punt returner

He's done these kinda Barry Sander-ish runs a few times now. He'll reverse field and outrun the coverage the other way. Barry lost a lot of yards like tha, and Pac may too....but the big plays make it ok :brow:

he gobbled up the yards.

Yea, it was a great return, but should have been called back. Jarret Payton had an obvious block ion the back penalty on their kicker, but fortunatly, the referee's head was turned. If he had another one called back, man, i dont know what i would have done...

Gunny

Radio said Payton put his head to the side of the player negating the penalty.

The sideline judge did have a perfect view of the block, though. It was close but I don't think it was a penalty.

On one of Pac's returns, Mike Keith said he ran 70 yards to gain 20, and that was probably true -- he cut back and forth across the field a LOT. If the game is Pacman, he's the joystick.

Everybody still kneeling before Pacman here?

Good Lord, I was just starting to like this forum.

You don't need a new Pacman thread every day. Go find the last one and add to it. This is getting ridiculous.

Pacman, with his kick returning abilities, has become an impact player on a roster desperately short of impact players. He, less noticably, has now also become a pretty good cover corner, and he gets better every week.

just imagine next year after he's had a full training camp and pre-season to get ready for the season and he's pulling this off on a weekly basis

he'll likely become the value pick of the draft

and that's what Jeff and Floyd have been telling us since the beginning

I wonder how many people are still calling him a punk

Pacman is a wild man...talked to him through the fence at the north end where the players emerge to make there way to their vehicles. Pacman is amazing. I have always thought so. I love the way he reverses field. It works for him. By the way, I would like to point out that I totally called the Jones return. It was my prediction he would take one to the house.

Well, I was right.

Swingondeezbalz, what's up your crawl today? Go moderate your own forum. (for those of you who do not know he is a colts forum mod) Nobody is making a whole bunch of pacman jones threads here and even if they were, that's TJ's jurisdiction... besides, the old pacman threads are negative...I usually stay out of them, which isn't a bad idea...hint, hint...

TitanJeff said it best on another topic when he said "nobody has got a gun to your head making you read it." I bet you liked that thread...it was a Colt smoochin' thread...Broken Record thoughtfully added the pic of the guy with a gun being held to his head...:ha:

You guys are crazy.

But I still like you better than the guys at jags.com

Pacman's pretty good I guess. I just get annoyed when I see a new Pacman thread every day. Pacman's biggest attribute is his kickreturn skillz, but a couple years ago, Dante Hall had all those TD's, and I swear there were LESS threads about him on the Chiefs board than there are about Adam Jones on this board!

But you're right about him being a star amongst under-acheivers. I can't blame you for magnifying the bright spot. On our board, there's a ton of threads about Bob Sanders. Feel free to harass away about that over at coltfreaks.com

I didn't mean to offend.

No.

Were you in Australia for our Monday Night Game at New England? If so, that probably explains why you would suggest that they could beat us. The Patriots suck. We destroyed them on their field in a game where they never had an ounce of control. It's just that Miami, the Jets, and the Bills suck worse. If the Titans were in the AFC East, the Titan's would be in contention, no doubt.

Gunny
12-12-2005, 08:26 AM
Yeah I was in Australia and I saw the game.
Destroyed? I think not. If Dillon didnt fumble in the redzone it could have been a whole different result.

BUT regardless because you beat them once doesnt mean it is a lock that you will beat them again.

Boy, you ain't kidding. Sanders is quickly becoming one of the truly elite safeties in the league...one of those guys who is virtually impossible to gameplan for. He's living proof that a dominant safety can be the cornerstone of a dominant defense. (And having him on the same field with Dwight Freeney? Man, that just ain't fair.)

I think I dislike the Colts more with every passing day, but I'll give credit where credit's due....Bob Sanders is the real deal.

You're way off on this one, Gunny.

Even if Dillon's fumble didn't happen, and they scored a touchdown on that drive, the Colts still win by 2 scores, so I don't see your point there.

Bellichick challenged a TD catch that was not challenge-able, just so that the Colts couldn't run their 2 pt conversion with the Patriots running on and off the field. The red flag he threw was only intended to stop the play. This is an illegal tactic, against NFL rules, so that's 2 more points right there for the Colts.

Plus, the 19 yard TD pass from Brady to Troy Brown would have been clearly overturned if challenged by the Colts. Even the announcers said that. There was no challenge because the game was out of hand by then anyway.

So, if anything, the score could have been more lopsided. 42-14 to be exact. That's a stretch, I'll admit, but nontheless, 40-21 is a pretty decisive victory. I'll leave it up to you if you want to reject the idea that we 'destroyed' them, but they never had control for a single second.
