Will we be granted any this year based on what we lost or no?

probably at best a 6th for dyson. we dont get any for miller, mason, rolle, carter or holcombe because they were released.

Apparently it has a lot to do with the size of the contrct the player signed.

Isn't it based on the Net" number of FAs you signed. By signing KVB and losing Dyson we're a wash and wouldn't get anything.

Dyson signed a much bigger contract than KVB, but I don't know how it all adds up. I'll try to find an old post on another forum that helps explain it.

Don't forget that Berlin got picked up by Chicago, and Meier got picked up by the Saints and have been with them all year so I'm pretty sure they count. Not sure about McGarrahan who just got picked up by detroit. He has kind of floated around from team to team I think so i don't know how he would add into the equation.

Titans added 1 FA in KVB, but lost at least 3 Dyson, Meier, and Berlin.

I remeber reading that article about the guy in dallas who has pretty much figured out the formula. I'll try to find it too.

Here is a link to the article....it looks from reading the article that KVB and the other guys we lost won't be included because they signed the vet minimum deal with no big signing bonus. From using his formula, Dyson should get us a 5th because his deal was for 5yrs at 17.5 mil which is over 3mil a yr.

KVB wouldn't count against us either way because he wasn't a natural free agent. Arizona cut him.
