View Full Version : Draft Trade Chart TitanJeff 01-07-2006, 01:25 PM It'll come in handy over the next few months. bigtitan53279 01-08-2006, 10:45 PM i dont see it. great idea though! Starkiller 01-10-2006, 04:30 PM I doubt that chart will be valid this year with 3 franchise players at the top. We should be getting premium value for the #3 pick. TitanJeff 01-10-2006, 05:30 PM I agree. I think most felt last year it was over-inflated with the early picks. smili 01-15-2006, 05:33 PM I could see another team who's pretty well stocked but wants one of the top 3 picks could trade an entire draft to us in exchage for #3. For example, the value stated for the 8th pick in every round is worth 2290. Would you like 8th overall and extra pick in every round in exchange for #3? Maybe spread it over a few years? TitanKid4Life 02-13-2006, 12:12 AM could someone explain that chart to me, it doesnt make a lot of sense Soxcat 02-13-2006, 08:13 AM The chart shows a numerical value for each pick. Hypothetically if you wanted to trade picks you would look for a trade that added up to an equal amount of points. For example the 16th pick in the 1st is worth 1000 points. An equal value for that pick would be the 23rd and the 70th picks. TitanJeff 02-13-2006, 09:10 AM And take this chart with a grain of salt. I think the top picks will have a lot more value than when they would have last year. Soxcat 02-13-2006, 12:34 PM In theory that might be true but if I'm Reese I'm not sure I would insist on it to make a trade. For example, if we trade down to #9 we would need the Lions complete draft just to meet the chart value. If we were offered just the Lions 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th picks I would have to consider it IMO. titanfreak333 02-15-2006, 07:16 PM who do you think the titans should draft TitanKid4Life 02-15-2006, 08:04 PM i hope they draft vince and thank u soxcat for telling me how that worked LiLPrince215 02-18-2006, 03:12 AM You gotta understand Titans don't have a choice. It's not up to the Titans on who they draft... The fate of the Titans is in the hands of the Texans and the Saints. What we get depends on what they get. The Titans don't have much of a decision to make. When its Titans turn to pick only one of the threee (Bush, Lienart, and Young) will be around. maximus 02-18-2006, 10:57 AM You gotta understand Titans don't have a choice. The Titans don't have much of a decision to make. When its Titans turn to pick only one of the threee (Bush, Lienart, and Young) will be around. The Titans very well haved a choice on who they draft. There is and always will be a great possiblity of a trade down if the player the Titans want isnt there. With a Franchise OT, it wouldnt suprise me one bit if the Titans took Da Brick at #3 if Young or Bush werent there(That said, all signs point to one of them being at the #3 pick) nigel 04-19-2006, 05:01 PM I saw today that ESPN has the chart up on their site, but you have to subscribe to EPSN insider to access it. Just like the boys in Bristol to charge for what a thousand other website have up for free. :shake: TitanJeff 04-19-2006, 05:07 PM But if you want to send a donation to me for viewing the chart, I accept PayPal or beer. Memories of my high school librarian.:brow: Soon Nigel will get on me about Reynaldology and no posts on religion. :ha: nigel 04-21-2006, 12:17 PM Soon Nigel will get on me about Reynaldology and no posts on religion. :ha: Nah, its not a real religion... kinda like $cientology ;) Gunny 04-21-2006, 12:18 PM Nah, its not a real religion... kinda like $cientology ;) its on wikipedia, its real. :ha: nigel 04-21-2006, 12:19 PM its on wikipedia, its real. :ha: You should totally start a wiki article on Reynaldology. Gunny 04-21-2006, 12:20 PM could be a good money maker, all these parrots flying in to be part of it...did i say that out loud? TitanKid4Life 04-21-2006, 08:11 PM i think its funny how the reynaldology think is up on wikipedia, when i first saw that i thought that people were actually crazy about him, then i realized how it was u that founded it.... Starkiller 04-21-2006, 09:39 PM Reynadology doesn't have nearly the following of Flying Spaghetti Monsterism (http://www.venganza.org/)... Gunny 04-21-2006, 09:44 PM :ha: We got some work to do. nigel 04-24-2006, 11:56 AM Gunny, I cant believe you actually added that to his wiki article!!! Eddie_Pine 04-30-2006, 02:33 PM Go titans! Blazing Arrow 09-20-2006, 07:12 PM Accourding to this chart we got a middle of the pack #4 for McNair and Volek. :suspect: RollTide 11-27-2006, 11:32 AM More like 10th the way we are playing. It is interesting and assuming the league goes by similar parameters we can see why trading down is difficult. Would you give up a whole draft for the #3 pick? According to this chart a team picking 30th would have to do just that. A team picking 30th-60th-90th-120th would have the equal value in those 4 picks to the 13th pick. I don't see anyone ever doing that. Good GMs(polian-newsome) seem to do fine with late picks. Look at addai perhaps the best back taken in the last 2 drafts. And he was considered a reach! RollTide 01-13-2007, 02:38 PM We will be drafting 19th so to move up to say 14th will require our 3rd rd pick minimum. Anything above 13th will require more. I think this is a prime year for us to trade up. SupDawg 01-13-2007, 02:43 PM For what its worth, before Reese left, he did say this year they were going for quality over quantity. I was hoping to trade up and get rid of some of those extra picks. DCtitan49 03-19-2007, 07:26 PM i liked reese and i dont know why he left while we were emerging SwingOnDeezBalz 05-01-2007, 06:21 AM Hindsight is 20/20 Alex1939 02-24-2008, 04:10 PM If I'm reading this chart correctly, it looks like our 3rd, 4th, 5th round picks combined would be worth around 240 points. I wouldn't mind seeing us trade those 3 picks to move up, looks like we could have around the 5th pick in the 3rd round with those trades. Doesn't seem like a big move up (about 20 overall spots), but if someone slips that we want, I'd like to see us be proactive this year. Wonder if we could move up further if we traded our 3rd,4th,5th and the rights to Pacman? If it would move us into the mid second round, at this point, I would love that deal. |
