View Full Version : Jets Fan Has Question for Titans Fans
mryankee 01-14-2006, 02:47 PM Hey, a suffering Jet fan here. I heard the rumors about Carr being traded to Miami and Houston taking Young. If this happened and New Orleans took Leinart, would the Titans take Bush, or would they go Cutler, Brick Ferugson, defensive help, etc?
bigtitan53279 01-14-2006, 02:50 PM hopefully they would taek bush, or trade for a king's ransom.
danny 01-14-2006, 02:52 PM Bush or trade back...
Titantonic 01-14-2006, 03:09 PM I'd bet the Titans would take Bush.
metal957 01-14-2006, 03:33 PM Chow + Bush = Utimate Weapon
Enough Said
Starkiller 01-14-2006, 03:43 PM Bush, short of an insane trade...
Sunshine 01-14-2006, 04:09 PM Guys like Bush don't come around very often, so I think that's who we'd take if he were available.
OSUBuckeyesEG27 01-14-2006, 05:44 PM theres no way Bush would make it pass 3
Slackmaster 01-14-2006, 06:00 PM But in what alternative universe would anyone take Carr?
Titans2008 01-14-2006, 06:03 PM For the same reason someone might take Cutler.

He could be very good if he had a decent O-Line.
SEC 330 BIPOLAR 01-14-2006, 06:40 PM If the Titans drafted Bush I bet they might be able to get some type of deal like the Chargers got when they forked over Eli to the Giants. Not drafting Bush at #3 and building around him for the future would be a huge mistake. It would however be an even larger mistake for Houston to draft Young and dispose of Carr in the first place, no matter how much their &!#@%*, half hearted fan base squawks about it.
Don't get me wrong. Vince Young is a very special player but he is not what the Texans need. If the Titans did have the chance to draft Bush and they traded out or traded him away, then it would be time for Bud to fire everyone. This whole deal just makes me even more glad that I am not a Texans fan.
TouchDown29 01-14-2006, 08:15 PM David Carr has heart. People keep saying he sucks but I dont see it. I see him having a terrible o-line. IMO if Carr was our QB last year we would have went 8-8 possibly 9-7. I will say it again Carr has heart.
Titanpride 01-14-2006, 08:40 PM It's hard to complete a pass when your running for your life play-in, play-out.
Gunny 01-14-2006, 09:03 PM Did Carr end up breaking his own sack record?
Soxcat 01-14-2006, 09:05 PM Jake Plummer is a QB that played on a lousy team but had potential. Plummer right now is doing fairly well. Carr could do the same in the right situation IMO.

I'm sure there is an equal amount of Texans fans who realize how dumb it would be to take Young. Carr was a number 1 overall pick. Trading him away just so you can do the last 4 or 5 years over again would be past retarded. In the end, who really cares where he played college.
If Bush were available at #3, it should take 1/50 of a second to figure out what to do. Passing on one of the most gifted players in the past few decades would be the definition of mistake.
I know it won't happen, but Reggie Bush + Pacman Jones returning punts and kicks = unfair to opponents.
user44 01-15-2006, 03:34 AM Absolutely no scenario they pass on Bush, I can't see a scenario where we can get enough talent at a reasonable price to justify trading bush

The Ricky Williams deal comes to mind.

.
I agree
but then again, Randy Moss comes to mind
PhiSlammaJamma 01-15-2006, 11:13 PM I'm not sold on Carr, and I'm suprised he hasn't been compared to Harrington more often. I think the new franchise tag has saved him for the most part. I think he's played fairly well, especially since Andre Johnson was out most of the year, and the OL is hideous, but then again, does he ever find the open wr? It's like he's stuck in the mud. I'm not sure he's a good red zone qb either. He's a toin coss right now, but I'd still say he's better than 33% of the qb's at a mininmum. Maybe even makes it into the top half. Which is pretty good given his situation. He's getting too money to give up on now. I think they have to take Bush otherwise they lose at least two rounds worth of value when they trade David Carr.
SEC 330 BIPOLAR 01-16-2006, 01:56 AM Plummer right now is doing fairly well.
That's a bit of an understatement. :ha:
