Keith Bulluck has had a charity basketball game the past couple years, but I havent heard anything about one this year.

Sports Seasons has Young jerseys. I'd assume the Titans Pro Shop does too. I'm not sure about White.
flamehead2 05-30-2006, 05:30 PM You might go by the proshop at the coliseum sometimes they give tours in exchange for can goods donations
Overalls 05-30-2006, 06:04 PM Edit - this post refers to a Texans event in Houston. So unless you are a cows fan and live in Houston, who cares ;)
There is going to be an "All Access" event with most of the players and cheerleaders signing autographs this weekend. They are going to have self guided tours of the weight room and other places within the stadium. The tickets and parking are free. Sounds like a cool event. I got my tickets to it last week. I think there is going to be live music and tailgating too.
Hoffa 05-30-2006, 07:23 PM do cow fans eat beef??
They prefer pork.
Here's some Texan fans tailgating outside Reliant Stadium.

[the doorbell rings. Scott walks over to open the door]
[At the front door]
Cartman: [with tickets in hand] Hello, Scott!
Scott: Hey.
Cartman: I was just stopping by to invite you to my Chili Con Carnival. It's a chili cook-off with rides. [shows him the face of the ticket] Everyone's coming, and I wanted to drop by your invitation personally!
Scott: Ooo, a chili carnival, huh? That sounds great.
Cartman: [getting smug] Yeah! There is even gonna be a big surprise, so you won't wanna miss it, Scott.Oh, and here! Here's a coupon good for one free pony ride!
Scott: Wow, a pony ride. Neat.
Cartman: Oh, it will be very neat, Scott.
Scott: Gosh. Chili, rides, and ponies? What more could I want?

must be trying to garner more fans after they all defected to the Titans.

man... I was so thinking that was a joke post...
I hope you got my angle... :lol3:
Still funny, even if your "event" was some fake or hoax. :ha:

My thoughts exactly.
Don't think all that will make up for not drafting Vince, or Reggie.:)
SEC 330 BIPOLAR 05-30-2006, 09:50 PM Most of the Texan fans I've been meeting online lately have been Longhorn fans first and Texan fans second. Kinda reminds me of all the Colts fans that live in my town. There are plenty. One thing they all have in common : They all bleed orange.

The Texans FO has been real good at the dog and pony show part of the PR. As far as Turncoat fans, I don't think we are losing that many. If you go to the longhorn sites there are longhorn fans that are staying loyal to their school and still hoping VY gets laid on his back by us.

what does Vince's personal life have to do with this?

Guess Vince will have to learn that one by watching Carr since he's an expert at getting laid on his back

2005 Season Top 5 most Sacked Quarterbacks
http://www.nfl.com/stats/playersort/NFL/QB-PASSING/2005/regular?&_1:col_1=13
Quarterback, Games, Times Sacked
David Carr, 16, 68
Drew Bledsoe, 16, 49
Kerry Collins, 15, 39
Aaron Brooks, 13, 33
Michael Vick, 15, 33
Blazing Arrow 05-31-2006, 06:05 PM 2005 was not the only season that Carr has lead that stat.
SEC 330 BIPOLAR 05-31-2006, 06:12 PM Carr gets sacked more than the goods at Kroger.
mdfan 05-31-2006, 06:16 PM Here's an excerpt from his draft profile
from: http://www.nfl.com/draft/2002/profiles/carr_david.htm
Negatives: While he shows accuracy on his long passes, his arm strength is adequate, as he tends to arc his deep attempts … Holds the ball too long, inviting the sack, rather than dumping it off or throwing it away … Makes proper checks, but does not have a variety of throws … Needs to improve his pass drop, as he does a lot of three-step motion and will hold the ball a little too long, taking the sack rather than throwing it away.
Shows you what kind of decisions the Texans FO makes
:suspect:
Overalls 05-31-2006, 06:23 PM Carr gets sacked more than the goods at Kroger.
And Vince Young signed his contract in crayon, so what's your point. I'm sorry Bud doesn't care about the Titans fans having a good time, but David Carr getting sacked is not the topic of THIS thread. Heck when Bud was here tailgating wasn't even allowed at the games. Bob McNair may have made numerous mistakes on the football end, but he otherwise knows how to take care of the fans. This weekend us season ticket holders are going to have one heck of a party, with players, cheerleaders and food everywhere. I guess that is the reason our season ticket waiting list is growing since Vince Young was the only player worth drafting.
Blazing Arrow 05-31-2006, 06:25 PM What I can never understand is when you goto Texan boards they defend him with all of there hearts.
I was amazed that even w/ Reggie Bush out there they were choosing between a RB and a DE and not looking at the solid QB choices.

You can do the same thing with ANY players profile. Almost every draft mag. that prints more than a paragraph about a player will show his strengths and weaknesses. I can do the same thing with Vince.
http://footballsfuture.com/2006/prospects/vince_young.html
"Texas has simplified the playbook"
"Young has a long way to go as a passer at the next level"
"His mechanics are inconsistent, which leads to him to still sail or underthrow his receivers"
"forcing the ball into coverage too often"
"tends to lock on his receivers"
This is one you could really look at.
"is also much riskier than any other top prospect"
Now with all that being said by some talking head. I guess you are jumping off the Vince Young bandwagon.
No...I didn't think so. We all have faith in our players
Hoffa 05-31-2006, 07:32 PM David Carr getting sacked is not the topic of THIS thread.
That's right. The topic of this thread is TITAN off season events, so post your Texan draft consolation prize party info somewhere else.

I just was letting Y'all know what it's like to celebrate with a NFL team. I could tell that Y'all don't know. Y'all stick with last years peanuts and some country music down at the trough if Y'all want. It's cool with me.
Yea Haw, Hee Haw. I guess you're afraid you won't be able to keep them in the hills once they figure out how the other NFL teams fans are treated.
Goooo Bud:greedy:

If Houston knew how to keep an NFL team, you'd still have the Oilers.
But they left for a better place.
How many Houston NFL teams have played in a Superbowl?

:rotfl:
Blazing Arrow 05-31-2006, 08:52 PM He likes crayons.
If Carr keeps taking the hits he is taking he will like crayons too maybe even more.
Hoffa 05-31-2006, 08:56 PM When did Vince sign his contract?

Sunshine 05-31-2006, 09:48 PM Back on topic:
The Tennessee Titans announced their 8th Annual Charity Golf Classic will be held on Monday, June 19th, at one of the most exclusive golf courses in the Nashville area to benefit the Titans Foundation. The annual VIP tournament allows participants a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be up close and personal with Titans players, coaches, cheerleaders, and executive personnel for the day on one of the midstate’s most exclusive courses.
The event is slated to have some of the most unique auction items available during the Awards Party, including one-of-a-kind experiences that only the Titans can offer. The afternoon will conclude with a special performance by well-known comedian Tim Wilson, who has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and is a regular on the Bob & Tom morning radio talk show. Among the hole-in-one prizes are a Range Rover Sport vehicle provided by Land Rover Nashville and also $10,000 in cash to the first person who scores an ace on those respective holes.
The Titans have two teams available for purchase and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’d like to play golf with the Titans, call 615-565-4007. Foursomes start at $4,000, and other sponsorship opportunities are available. Your foursome will be joined by a member of the Titans and will compete as a fivesome. This is a private event and is not open to the public or spectators.
The Tennessee Titans Foundation was established in 1999 with an initial gift from Mr. & Mrs. Adams of $500,000. The foundation offers financial support and other resources to non-profit organizations throughout Tennessee. Since the team relocated to Tennessee in 1997, combined charitable gifts from Mr. & Mrs. Adams, the Titans Foundation, the Titans, and NFL Charities is approximately $14 million! Over the past seven years, the Tennessee Titans Charity Golf Classic has raised more than $1 million dollars for the Titans Foundation.
