The Texans have continued to go after Broncos to shore up a team that took a deep dive last year. They have chosen Broncos asst. GM Rick Smith to replace CC. He is only 36. I guess that the Texans are trying to catch a new wave of leaders into the future of the NFL.

What's a little bit funny is that this is a legit news story and this guy decides he wants to post it in smack. It's simply not a smack posting yet here it is. I guess he figured he would save the moderation team the trouble of moving it here after he pops off, which he inevitably will... just defending my team... :ha: right... like we give a jack who the Texans have as GM... when the rest of the AFC South starts chasing Houston for the division crown, maybe then I'll care, till then... :bs:

Poor Sludge. It's ok that the Texans are better than the Titans. You don't have to be so petty.

they do have a better stadium. Too bad they have no home field advantage to go with it.

It does my heart good to know y'all think Smith will be the savior of your franchise. But wait. Wasn't that supposed to be Kubiak? Or Bush? Or was it supposed to be Mario? Or is Smith now the savior? Y'all have no clue, do y'all?

In what Bizarro land are the Texans better then the Titans?

Until the Texans get rid of Carr they will be 2 free wins a season.

of course the Colesium cost what 100m ( land acquisition was another 150m ) about 1/5th what that Cathederal to Pro Football Houston built ( about 500m). So it should be nicer, too bad for Houston that Phoenix is going one better on them.

Pic of Reliant field and what's left of Carr's shoe after multiple gang sacks...

The Texans didn't take a "deep dive last year".
That would imply that they haven't always been a dive since coming in the league, which they have been.
The Texans have never finished over .500, yet you think they have fallen somehow?
If your sense of accomplishment is in the majority amongst the people in Houston, then it's easy to see why the Oilers never made it to the Superbowl.
I feel sorry for Bud Adams for having wasted the best years of his football ownership years trying to field a winning team in front of ********* like that.
Too bad Bud wasn't fortunate enough to live in Tennessee all those years ago, he'd have lots of SB rings on his fingers today.

What's next, get Plummer to replace the ultimate diver, David Carr?

Lord I hope not. We are looking a bit Denver-ish with a Cheesehead, but we are the Texans...make no doubt about it. Gonna leave Natural Gas Field with shreds of Columbia Blue just in time for Halloween, in fact....we are going to have a shredfest here at Reliant on 12/10. Mario doesn't care which QB you chose, he will leave his calling card regardless. :))

Laugh it up over last year, cellar dwelling seems to be your destiny and not just for being down there tending to the corn mash either. I will wave down the stairs as I pass by. Don't mind the snickering....

So, since y'all ran off your best player (McNair), is Billy in charge of the sinking Titan ship now or are y'all sending Vince to the hounds early? I hear he needs some Hooked on Phonics training to read the playbook. :ha:

Never finishing a season above .500, setting new records in the number of times your QB is served up for killing, having your fans jump ship and join the Titans because of lame draft choices, having the worst record of any expansion team in history seems to be your destiny.

What's the series record between the Titans/Texans?
When you all ever win anything, come back and talk smack. Until then you're just embarrasing the city of Houston.

You seem a bit touchy, Hoffa. You VY's tutor? :ha:

What have you done lately? Any rings to show for the franchise tenure yet? Yea, sit down son.
You just gave away the best player you ever had, and you want to start up with me? Whatever gain you had (and yes, y'all are leading the series with us) has evaporated. You think Volek or a n00b QB are your savior? Please post back with an affirmative, I would love to see it in cold, hard text. We addressed one of David Carr's glaring problems and bought him protection, and you took the best thing you had and kicked it to the curb. Still lovin' old Bud?

Raiders are #1 for living in the past, seems you are jockeying for the #2 spot from the Cryboys. Can't milk a SB appearance forever.

What FEW fans jumped were not Texans fans, nor are they now Titans fans...they love VY and that is all they love. Keep on thinking Mario is lame, like I said...........revenge is sweet.

I do not see a big rivalry with y'all, but more of a tolerating that whiny little sister you don't want to claim. I was never an Oiler fan, pretty much ignored them to be honest. I believe we have a beef with the Jags, most Texans fans either spit on anything with that nutty flying meatball logo on it...or just ignore you. I used to ignore you, now it is funner to poke fun at ya. Whine on , little sis....

But before you go off pouting, git me another beer!

You just gave away the best player you ever had,

Best player we ever had? You gotta be kidding me... Just in Tennessee, even at 3.9 ypc, Eddie George did a lot more to 1) get us to the Super Bowl and 2) get us back to the playoffs in 2002. not his fault if they basically told the defense they were handing off to George for 3 straight seasons there...
