View Full Version : Need Help ... Gameday Parking Needed
The Don 07-31-2006, 08:17 PM When the team first came, a lot of us parked down at the ole truck wash, myself included. That walk got long, especially after a tough loss.
We moved over to the Truckstops of America, but now I have linked our last two losing seasons to my moving to a new parking locale. I sincerely apologize, and take full responsibility.
I need a new spot, two spots actually, so those that sit around me in the south endzone can tailgate with us.
I'd love to park in a couple of those hundred empty spaces in the front lot of LP field, but by some weird twist they are all SOLD
Serious help needed, and I would love to see a big GoTitans tailgate spot.
Titanium 07-31-2006, 08:32 PM Get you a parking pass at St. Ann's, it's a block away from LP parking lot and we're south endzonies too, so the more the merrier!
Titanium 07-31-2006, 08:35 PM Oh, and Laserjock sets up the Satellite dish so we can watch the pregame shows. It's called "roughing it" lol
TitanJeff 07-31-2006, 09:13 PM You remember what St. Ann charges? My kids are getting older and I might be able to sneak down earlier for some tailgating this season.
bulluck4dMVP 07-31-2006, 09:19 PM Yeah i'm definitely traveling down for opening day against the Jets so i would love to tailgate with some of the gotitans faithful, just let me know when and where and i'll show up!
The Don 07-31-2006, 10:34 PM Sounds great so far.
Forgive my stupidity, remember that I went to Ole Miss, what and where is St. Ann's? Is it a church? Do they mind me tuggin' on the moonshine on Sunday?
Also, how much do they charge?
Titanium 08-01-2006, 03:49 AM Ole Miss... blah! :winker: :ha:
I don't know if this link will work, but I google mapped it. It's on Woodland Street

St. Ann's is an Episcopal Church. Most everyone drinks in their lots and they have no problem with it. The lot is well run during games. They have port a potty's and security during the games when you're not there. We've been there the past 3 years. Their season passes run $200, including the preseason games but not any playoff games (sold separately if the miracle happens)
Broken Record 08-01-2006, 07:19 AM God bless the Episcopals.
TitanJeff 08-01-2006, 08:52 AM Tricia, are there assigned spots so you can group people together or how do the Episcopals handle that?
The Don 08-01-2006, 09:24 AM Thanks for the tip Tricia.
I'll try to call them today and see if they have two spots. Hopefully you will not regret giving me the tip.
Unless you already called them and told them to say "we're all booked up go away".
Starkiller 08-01-2006, 11:02 AM Is Adelphia sponsoring that map? :ha:

I bet the Episcopals just let you park where you will.
Titanium 08-01-2006, 12:27 PM They don't have assigned parking, it's on a first come first serve basis. We ususally get there early, around 9:00am, so we always had the same spot. We could "reserve" a spot or two by putting a cooler or chair in a spot, but there are several groups that tailgate there every year the group together, and it's never been a problem.

TitanJeff 08-01-2006, 12:29 PM Don, give them a call and tell em we'll put a banner ad up here if they'll give up 10 spots this season. :brow:
Titanium 08-01-2006, 12:30 PM Thanks for the tip Tricia.

Regret the possibility of tailgating with The Don?! I think not! I hope they still have some spots available. :)

Yeah it's just a tad outdated isn't it? :ha:
The Don 08-01-2006, 02:52 PM We're in sister, so thanks again for the tip.
I requested a spot close to the dark haired, opinionated loudmouth and she gave me half price, as they are never able to sell those spots.
Only kidding my dear.
See you this season.
Now I really have a good feeling about this year!!!

HAHA! Great to have you amongst us again! Are you going to the Saints preseason game? If so, look for the black 4-runner with the very tall flag pole displaying the Titan Flag :) You can't miss us
SEC 330 BIPOLAR 08-01-2006, 05:00 PM You can't miss us

Unfortunately, I will be pulling combat duty in Memphis that weekend.
When you slam your thumb in the door, think of me.
Be back for the rest of them though.
The Mrs 08-05-2006, 04:37 AM The Church looks like it's on the other side of the interstate. Dang, that's a walk! A girl could twist her ankle walking that far in her high heels!

It's one block from LP Field's parking lot. Exercise will do you good ;)
Broken Record 08-07-2006, 05:10 PM segway... LOL... or maybe some of those tennis shoes with roller skates built in.
The Don 08-18-2006, 08:41 AM Titanium ...
Are you going to be at the Falcons game?
Titanium 08-18-2006, 09:03 AM We'll be there. We usually park close to the corner. Look for the tall flag pole and black 4-runner :)
