NewsChannel 5 obtained a copy of the police report.
It says quote --
"The assault caused 9 of the victim's fingernails to break and bleed.
He then began banging her head against the towel rack in the bathroom where the physical altercation began.
The victim then went downstairs, the defendant threw the victim over a chair."

Perhaps true enough he turned himself in? There was no reason to slam her head into a towel rack. It is reprehensible. He should have walked away, even if she was pissing him off or whatever that caused him to flip. Shoulda brought it to the field, even if he made a bigger spectacle of himself than Pacman, or gotten out of hand with personal fouls. Now he's in real trouble. Could be the straw that breaks the camel's back for domestic abuse by players in Nashville. And now the team is going to have to look at the d-line and prepare for the worst. Hope Mahelona is prepared to start this year. And how long was Starks' rookie contract again?

I dont think the contract will matter in this situation but it is definatley a huge loss from a football standpoint. But more improtantly it was a terrible decision for the guy to make. Could ruin his career.

LenDale goes around spittin on folk. Calico can't put money in a parking meter without his pants ending up around his ankles. Road rage incidents with Super Monster SUV ford f-650's running over boyscout toops... I know I have already mentioned domestic abuse but I believe I remember a lineman getting in trouble with a story similar to this not all that long ago.

Let me preface this by saying that I am a female AND hitting should never be the answer.

Now, first of all, women know their men and know the buttons. He has been dabbling with his ex-girlfriend on the side and this ex-girlfriend has been throwing it in his fiance's face. Of course, the ex-girlfriend is mad that she didn't get chosen. Instead of fiance hanging up on ex-girlfriend and just realizing she's the one with the ring, she goes and gets up in Randy's face. Not only does she get in his face, she does it a few hours before he has to go play a game.

Women may be physically weaker, but we use our words to get even. They were in the bathroom when he was getting ready to go to the stadium. He wasn't trying to have his mind on domestic issues and she kept going at it. He wanted to discuss it later, after the game, but she didn't want to hear it. She wanted to hurt him as much as she was hurt from his cheating. Things escalted and she took it a notch further and Randy just snapped. He didn't hit her at first. He felt that if she was leaving him and going home, then she needed to leave the ring. He tried to take it off her finger, that's when things went downhill.

Again, he shouldn't have hit her, but I can understand how things can get out of hand like it did. We women can be very vicious with our words and we know exactly what to say to hurt a guy that we've been with. I admit that when I've been mad I chose to use words to make my guy hurt as much as I felt he made me hurt, emotionally. I also admit that I've said some things that I know I needed to get the crap slapped out of me. Luckily for me, my guy thinks and just walks away. Sometimes when he walks away, I follow him and keep on with my words.

Now, if after all this, she stays with him and marries him, I will be mad at her. There should be a rule, if you call the police because your man beat you up yet you try to drop the charges and won't testify AND you get back with him, then the police should not have to respond to your calls again.

Once a guy crosses the line and slams your head against a towel rack and tosses you over a chair, if you stay with him and marry him then you get what you paid for.

I don't know what goes on in his private life, but Randy has always been nice and very respectful. I was totally surprised to hear about what happened. I mean, there are some guys that you absolutely know would hit a girl and he wasn't one of them. There are some guys that you hear about in private, the things that are kept between the couple, but guys on the team or the wives/girlfriends hear about it. Randy never had that reputation.....until now!:hmm:

Its funny on what can go on behind closed doors. And what people are really like.

I'm sorry elfin, its honestly foreign to me. I've been married for 23 years now (my only marriage) and that's not how we operate. If any the couples I know engage in that type of behavior, they wisely don't tell me about it.

I'm not saying that I give my guy a pass to hit me! However, I do recognize when I am being a little "b" and I can be real with myself. If you keep pushing anyone's buttons, they are going to react. It doesn't make it right for a guy to hit a girl, but not everyone has control over their emotions.

any woman that uses words or pushes a guys button knowing that he hits is just stupid in more ways that one. First she is stupid for staying with him under those conditions, second she is stupid for pushing him to the point where she knows that he will hit her, third she is stupid if she hits him knowing he will hit back. It is a no win situation for the woman.

The few women I know who have been in that type of situation usually grew up in that type of situation. They saw their mothers get hit and swore it would never happen to them but it did.

LOL - as a kid I saw Mrs. Glasgow, a very large woman, pistol whip her husband Cecil in their front yard. Cecil is a little dude and Mrs. Glasgow had her knees on his shoulders and was whailing away on Cecil's head with the pistol grip. This was right before supper and everyone was outside on their bikes and stuff.


Now she would be arrested ect.. then Cecil just drove away after his beating. Still don't know what he did to deserve it, but nobody ever messed with Mrs. Glasgow

Hey, if people get off on being mean to each other then fine, go for it, as long as its a mutual agreement. But they'll still get arrested if they hit, and judges are more enlightened these days - they don't give a damn if the woman was harping or not.
