The Raiders took it hard from SD, the main cause of their demise?!?!
The O-Line couldn't keep anybody out of the backfield with 6 sacks and pressure every play.

Dropped Passes and penalitys

Couldn't contain LT...

These problems sound familiar??
We have to get it together on both sides of the ball to take this game(No big surprise I know)...But this is a game I believe we can win..
I think Defensively we're better off then on Offense when it comes to the line..
If Fisher and the fellas dont start puttin it together it's gonna be a long day...

your Thoughts on the game, and will the short week come into play???

We are going to get our asses kicked. LT will get around 150 yards. The only way we get a chance is if Collins gets knocked out of the game.

I was loving the chargers' announcer after the game: "Well, congratulations, Raider fans! Your team continues it's tradition of absolutely pathetic football!!"

And that may well be the only way to prove the obvious to the coaching staff.

Michael Roos could be in for a long day with Shawne Merriman. It could get really ugly. I am going to the game though and am hoping for the miracle.

And Bell, I believe Merriman plays both sides does he not?

I think they saddled him to one side now that Foley is down but I am not positive. He seemed to be on one side all night but maybe that side was just making him look good.

Roos is better than Gallery. As pathetic as we are I'm not sure we are as bad as the Raiders although we have about the same level of talent at QB if Collins plays. Remember it was the Raiders that let him walk in favor of Brooks. Still, by some miracle I think we might play a better game than we did Sunday but we will still lose. Look for this to be River's breakout game.

I think SD will win the game, but I'm going to make a bold prediction and say that this game will give Pac his first pick.
Rivers looked a little nervous to me. Twice when he got inside the 20 he had to call a time-out so he could go to the sidelines and figure out what he was supposed to be doing. I think if he had been forced to throw more we would have seen the results of his inexperience.

But the reason they didn't throw anymore was because LT carried 31 times for 130+...If we can't stop the run, they're going to go with the same gameplan. That being said, I'm optimistic about our run D. As long as Albert and Robaire are healthy

Thus the term forced

Right, and I agree in principle with your assessment. Just stating that I'm not sure if we'll force him to throw the ball anymore than Oakland did

I'm just trying to remain optimistic; However, I doubt they're shaking in their shoes at the thought of Josh Savage coming around the corner.

Roos is better than Gallery.

Don't know what Gallery looked like the other night, but coming out of college Gallery was 10x better than Roos. I seem to recall him manhandling our ends (which would have been KVB I guess, cos he played right tackle last year).

The Chargers showed the perfect way to break in new qb, Rivers. They barely let him throw, he did have good stats, but they revolved thier offense around LT, and let him handle the load, and it worked out great. I think we should do this to VY, and it would help him out a lot.

Brown does not equal LT.

We do not have the run game to support the pass that well. Rivers only threw 11 times because that is all they needed. If he was looking at 3 and 10s or 3 and 7s like we seem to look at on every series (usually worst do to a penalty) then we could think about that. Our running game does not consistently pick up 1st downs so we rely on the pass to pick up those 3rd downs.
