on a lighter note, we wont have the first pick thanks to the raiders.

Shawn Merriman is going to broke him in half.

And of course LT is gonna run all over us. Neat.

Hey, at least it won't be Volek! :ha:

Some of my points exactly. LT will be running free through the linebackers, and it makes my stomach hurt thinking about how many times we see Kerry do the turtle.

I don't know. I know the Jets running game sucks, but I tought we held up pretty well aganst the run on Sunday. I thought Thornton looked real good.

I'm sure we will be playing the run, in the hopes that Rivers will buckle and make bad throws, poor decisions, etc. I only hope we don't end up making the highlight reels with Rivers Coming Out party. We have some history making backups and newbies look like pro bowlers (Todd Bouman, Sage Rosenfels, David Garrard, etc.)

heaven help us if the Chargers go Max-Protect.

Stopping LT will be a huge benefit, meaning AH and Ro-Beast have to play well.

LT will end up burning us on the screen all day. And I imagine Gates is begging them right now to pleeeeeze put him in a matchup with ANY of our DBs....

Well I'm not too worried about the pass next week, Rivers only passed 11 times in the Oakland game, LT was the one they rode to a win. If we can slow down LT and force rivers to throw 20-30 times I'm sure we can get him to make mistakes... unless of course Schwartz believes you can't blitz Rivers.

I didn't watch the whole game, but Rivers looked like a crazy man last night. I think he's going to be a pretty good QB in this league. I mean, the parts I saw he was making pretty good reads and doing a nice job, but he was so hopped up on adrenaline that he looked like a keystone cop back there. His footwork was ridiculous. I think he might be on amphetamines.

Rivers didn't have to throw the ball with the way they were running thru the Raiders D

LT will be on the bench by half-time (with 120 yards).

Brooks was sacked something like 7 times and he didn't even finish the game. Will we see some history in the making this sunday? Most sacks by one team in a single game?

He was sacked more (7) times, than he had copleted psses in the game. He had 6 completed passes (in I believe 14 attempts).

Yikes!!

Yup, chargers looked tough, and the raiders looked sick....I see Brady Quinn playing in Oakland next year!

no no Andrew Walkter (6`5, 240lb, 4.5 40) is their future QB :brow:

I think oakland and green bay will be fighting pretty hard for the rights to brady quinn...

yesterday morning, I was optimistic we could maybe beat the chargers...not anymore...we are in trouble...

Green Bay has Aaron Rodgers, we have Vince. We don't need Quinn. But- we may be able to trade down and pick up some solid line help with an extra pick.

Run D isn't what worries me. I worry about not scoring any points.

There's no WAY his 40 time is 4.5.

It's gotta be 4.3, Raider9175 said so.

I think he ran a 4.3 at his pro day, but that was on a fast track. Of course, that's quite different than his "game speed" which makes him appear to run somewhere in the 3.6 range.

Bobo

That's true. He's surely the next Rayduhs star.
