Every defense wants to blitz. Every offense wants to throw the ball downfield more. Every basketball team wants to run n' gun. Etc.

In general, I think athletes likes aggressive play.

I think it is up to coaches to know when and how much the defense should blitz. For the Titans, having the team believe in the defensive scheme might be more important than blitzing itself.

Very true Jeff. But there can be no question that the defence responded better to the aggressive style of play we saw against the Dolphins.

Or were we playing a team that is as bad as we are but over hyped? SD smoked us we keep it close against the Jets with no offense in the first 3 quarters and put up 10 against the Fish who did not look all that good.

Blitzing should be a main stay of the defense. Mix up who is coming, NB, OLB or S but always send someone. Also don't just blitz guys to be blitzing them. Run your stunts up front to move the OL out of postion to stop the blitzer. Blitzes should be similar to offensive plays where you try to make a hole for the blitzer to get through. Watch other teams and very few depend on 4 guys to get pressure.

Indeed. Even though we lost the D grew in stature. That needs to carry over to this weeks game
