SUMMARY: Titans coach Jeff Fisher said on Wednesday discussed the offensive approach this Sunday against the Cowboys. "We have to attack this defense with balance," said Fisher. "Washington tried to do so and was effective at times. I think the Jags did a descent job just being patient. The runs were ugly early but they popped a couple, and then Byron (Leftwich) made some plays down the field. They fell behind 10-0 and then hung in there and ended up winning the game. You have to be patient, but you have to be flexible and versatile on offense. It’s hard to find a defense in this league that’s got two outside linebackers that were former defensive ends that are in the 270-285 range. These guys can really bring it. This is basically our fourth straight week against a 3-4 defense and so there should be a sense of familiarity. I would expect us to rise up and be able to make some plays."

That was all O-line pass defense. Collins just lays down and dies if his own man brushes up against him. I guess the defense figures why go for a sack when he is more than likely to throw an interception instead.

How many times have we heard this crap over the years.
Attack the defense with whatever is going to work. I don't care if we throw the ball 10 times to every run. If we need to come out throwing the first 10 plays, all bombs do it. The more we try to "balance" the worse it seems we are. I figure Collins is good for about 50% of his passes, maybe. That means he needs to pass 2 out of three plays for us to get a first down. As much as we would like to play smash mouth run we can't so why waste our time. Get Scaife or Troupe on one of their safeties down the field. Find which WR has one on one coverage and throw the ball down field. We almost beat Miami by throwing the ball down field. We have the skill players to go 4 WRs if we want to. Whatever it takes to score 20 or more points, do it.
