Maybe Gurode and the cheap shot offensive line was going at his knees or holding him all game.....I wouldn't put anything past the sorry Dallas players..
I saw Randy Starks looking over him before Haynesworth hit him like he did something that Starks was mad at.....couldn't see much on replay, but who knows about a few plays earlier???

Dallas is famous for cheap shot crap, too bad Big Al just went off...

He stills needs to control himself because not having him in there, it cost our run D.

Too bad he didn't stomp on TO's face, I would've LOVED to see that....

If it was against another team, I'd be more upset, but against Dallas, I'd give Big Al a medal right about now......He gets a scolding for not stomping TO...

What he did was a classless act and I really dont care if I ever see him in a Titans Uni again. I dont watch football for that kind of crap.

He said what he did was "disgusting" and put shame on his name. He said he saw a picture of his kids while he was in the locker room while the game was going on, and he hoped they don't grow up and think he was a dirty player.

Totally shocking to me because I do not think that is what he is about...yet still no excuse and he deserves whatever fines and suspension he gets. He let his team, his coaches and the fans down with that move today.

I was highly frustated today as well and was fed up listening to Supposed-Titan-Fan-Turned_Cowpuker-Fan badmouthing the team every play....but has badly as I wanted to roll up the cheer flags they gave us today and make that guy a Cowpuker-On-A-Stick with them....I did not do it.

The Cowboys players are always so classy right.....no cheap shots, huh...;.

How bout in Dallas when Steve McNair gets pushed into a sideline cart by Dexter Coakley in 2002....totally blantant cheap shot, no penalty flag, nothing....
Funny how Steve was having a great game before that cheap hit...

He could have been out for the season after something like that and all the Dallas fans defended that???? The only reason he played more is his toughness, yet if affected him the rest of the game....He still had some back problems after that hit

Haynsworth on his hit on Andre Gurode

"First thing I’d like to say is, nobody told me what to say. Nobody coached me on my statement or anything like that. It’s all coming from me. What I’d like to say is I’m very sorry. I apologize to Andre. What I did was disgusting. It’s something that should never happen. I mean I’m not a dirty player. I don’t play dirty. I have respect for the game. What I feel like is I disgraced the game, disgraced my team and disgraced my last name. I just don’t know what else to say to apologize. When I was sitting in here in the locker room when the game was going on, I was looking at my phone, which has my kids on it. I don’t want them to have my last name and to think their Dad was a dirty player because I don’t play that way. I play with a lot of heart. What I did out there was disgusting. It doesn’t matter what the league does to me. The way I feel right now, you just can’t describe it."

This whole issue here with Haynesworth... avvie was asking about Titans Radio... he spoke to the media. He faced the music. He expressed shame, remorse, regret, etc... he said he embarrassed his family. He could have run out the door, but instead he spoke. That says something. It's a bad situation. That's not too far in my opinion. Even in ultimate fighting it is illegal to kick a guy in the head from that position. They made that rule because guys were really getting hurt.

Here you have a very powerful 325 lb man stomping down on a man's head with his cleats. Serious injury can happen maybe even death especially if the kick landed at the back of the man's head instead of his forehead...

In fact i'll go one further than that. When any athlete injures another well beyond the rules of that sport or outside the normal action as a player criminal penalties should apply. Kicking is not related to the normal actions of a defensive lineman.

Albert kicked Hartwig in practice one time because he was getting his luch eaten. The bottom line is Haynesworth was getting pushed around and like a thug he retaliated with an evil act that should not be allowed in any way. He should be suspended for the year and I don't care if he ever plays for the Titans again. He could have really caused a more severe injury if he had kicked the eye area or the back of the head. The guy was defenseless, had his helmet off and this just shows Haynesworth is no more mature than he was as a rookie. Get rid of him. The NFL doesn't need thugs like him in this league.

In a season that so far only has a high draft pick NEXT year to show for it, Fisher (not the league) needs to make an example of this and give Haynesworth a harsh penalty. That is the only way to get this team back. Show all the other players that their BS will not be tollerated. I agree with the earlier post that said suspend him without pay for the rest of the season.
This is not Albert's first rodeo, and if this is the level of leadership being shown by our veteran players we are in real trouble. I pray they do something about Schwartz and that we will be enough under the cap this year to bring in veteran LEADERS to show our rookies and veterans what team play is all about.

It's not Fisher's fault. HOWEVER, this would NEVER, EVER occur on a well-coached, diciplined team. This team is the most un-diciplined team in the league, bar-none. If we had a coach that would never allow such actions to occur, then they wouldn't occur. Period. We don't have that coach now; we may have at one time, but this is clearly a team with no identity.

I just saw the footage for the first time on SportsCenter... It was worse than I had thought. It wasn't a quick, spur of the moment thing. It was slow. Agreed.

If nothing else it shows that Geroud should have protected himself. Nobody cried for Clifton when Sapp blindsided him and put him in the hospital.

Protect yourself at all time Geroud, cause you never know when Fat Albert will stomp your head into the Titan turff.

How can you be so wrong so often about so many things?

Least disciplined in the league?

Um, hello, Bengals?

This was a terrible thing. Albert should be punished and fined. However, this is not the only time something like this has happened. Players get angry some times, and clearly AH has anger issues. Really we need a better league response to help these guys deal with it. I don't think this reflects on the team's discipline, it reflects on Albert's ability to control himself. He should be ashamed, and he is. He'd better deal with it.

But come on, did you really forget the Bengals?

Nobody cried for Clifton when Sapp blindsided him and put him in the hospital.

Actually a lot of people, including journalists, thought that hit was totally unnecesary and that Sapp should have been fined. The NFL however saw it differently, just like they did with the Trent Green hit.

I can't believe you are comparing a legal hit to what Haynesworth did.

What I am seeing that is lost in this whole debacle is that we should thank Al for giving us the most memorable penalty announcement ever. "Personal foul... stomping his head in"

He was tossed for throwing his helmet on the field - second personal foul auto ejection.

IMHO Haynesworth was getting beat, that TD went right thru the spot that Geroud moved him out of, and he was looking for a way off the field.

Anybody remember Christian Laettner doing this too.

Last time I checked Laettner wasn't wearing spikes. Call me crazy but I think it makes a difference.

I want to comment on the majority of opinions that I have seen here that AH deserves some kind of suspension, I think it speaks well of the Titan fan base to realize this and not blindly back your player. I think what Fisher told Parcells after the game was over (paraphrasing here) that if the NFL didn't take appropriate action, then he would is especially admirable.

Good luck the rest of the season. I think Vince just might turn out to be a good one for you guys.
