Just joking Gunny! you have to try to laugh after that...

At least we've started the future..and I have every faith that VY is the man
He's TD to Troupe.. let's have some more of that

Now we just someone, anyone, to coach D

I agree, Vince is trying his best....the defense sure didn't help him out AT ALL!

Agreed.. Young was allright until the last couple of minutes!

I really hope this won't harm his confidence!

Vince has some ways to go though. He's got to think. He made some stupid descsions but what do you expect, its his first start. Like TitansJames said he's not getting any help. I also liked what I saw from LenDale today.

For his first start against a great defense... he exceeded expectations in certain areas. The media has given him little to no credit because of a few bad decisions. Give him the ball against that Texans D and the media will be singing a different tune. Pisses me off how they show both INT's and Haynesworth's cowardness but fail to show the beautiful TD pass......AHHHH enough on me and my media rant.

Yep, LenDale needs to play early in the game....you can see him hit the hole with authority....pound him a lot early and see how he does...

Vince's confidence should be OK....He's a different breed and this should make him more hungry....We're not the worst team in the league anymore with VY in there.....

Anyone else think Brandon Jones is looking better and better??? Drew better wake up or else he'll be #3

It's his first day as a starter. He has a lot to learn and a lonnng way to go. I just hope he ends up being a smart QB. He can't just throw passes up for grabs like he did this game, that's the 'rookie' in him. I'm just afriad because he used his legs so much at USC that he will never be the great QB everyone believes he can be. Certainly didn't look too great trying to run for yardage today, which is his strongsuit.

Let's see how he improves each week, it will be cool watching him learn and make progress every game.

Get used to it folks. Won't see a great QB for a while. Just how it goes.

Yes we will. He brings leadership. He's great. And he's ready. We will win next week.

Listening to VY's postgame conference right now...GREAT attitude!

Vince had a QB rating of 47.3

Yeah he made some poor decisions but this is a guy who wasn't supposed to be ready for 2 or 3 yrs.

Today would have been a lot worse without Vince :jump:

TitanJames

Yep, at least we showed a spark at some times with VY in there, it would have been over in the first quarter with KC in there...

Where the heck are the receivers???? Someone needs to help out Vince, running game....O Line......DEFENSE????

He played a top 5 defense, and aside from the int to Bradie James at the end of the game, he looked pretty good.

Vince made a couple of throws that I think he was pressing late in the game....but his escapability was evident today...and I saw him on the field cheering and encouraging the defense at one point late...which shows his leadership and character.

I was encouraged..both by Vince and LenDale...and actually I thought the Oline did well.

Givens may be the bust this year. He is just nowhere to be found.

When I saw this post I was about to lose my mind. I agree he has a long ways to go, but he is in no way a bust.....He will continue to improve.

Hey fear not mate, I'm only joking..light humour and all that..

I don't think he's a bust at all, he's about the only positive we've got

that's a pretty damn bold prediction. does Vince handle DC duties as well? :winker:

Oh my lord when I saw that title to this topic I thought I was going to have to come in here and bust some heads up. But no you are right if we get someone to coach the D we wil be fine. But with the d it has been the same thing the last four years.

Vince needs to get used to the speed of the game; after that he will improve on a weekly basis.

Once he gets better teammates around him he will lead this team to Superbowl victories.

I suggest this team stay away from Free agency, they seem to suck at it. Build through the draft and they will be like the Cowboys of the early 90's.

Newsflash:
Titans suck at the draft, too.

if all you saw was the QB stats who would you think was the starting QB

You must have a secret man crush for Collins.

You can't get him out of your head for some reason.....

Actually the QB stats are pretty close. Both Young and Bledsoe threw about the same yardage. Both hit about 50% of their passes.

Bledsoe had 2 TDs one Int. Young had 1 TD and 2 ints.

As far as I'm concerned the QBs in this game were pretty equal, The real difference was the players around the QB.

I disagree. I think our Defense was the difference.
Did the Cowboys even punt once?

They punted one time late in the game.

VY did have the fumble as well. He needs to make better decisions with the ball but I think we saw enough good to think he will with experience.

Fisher said he is sticking with Young from here on out.

A good call IMO.

If the D hadn't allowed the Cowboys to score on every drive before that, maybe we wouldn't have been so far behind that they knew we had to throw, so they just came after VY who really had no chance.

What does fish have to lose? I mean honestly, I dont want him to get fired, but he has to be thinking that that is what is going to happen. The best he can hope for is that by the end of the season, VY is looking sharp and crisp.

yes it is a good call, only one he has done lately.

If you compare the stats of KC :moon2: and Young they are very similar so why not go with Young. We can lose with Young gaining experience instead of losing with KC :moon2:

What we lost today at LP was the boo's.
If Collins had started the meltdown today they would have been loud and plentiful.
At least with VY, we know his experience will lead him to greatness, sooner than later.

Vince started his first game today....and started his path to maturity. The mistakes he made are understandible. However, to lose 45 to 14 a lot of other starters who have been around awhile sure didn't do their jobs.
