View Full Version : What do you think Pac Man is doing with his time off?
bongo59 11-02-2006, 07:16 PM 1. thinking about his future?
2. pondering what the Titans next move is?
3. taking the digital video recorder home to study the Ravens?
4. going to Jaime's and ordering a white mink coat with racoon collar?
take a guess.
bongo59 11-02-2006, 07:17 PM This is not a joke.......................
LazyManJackson 11-02-2006, 07:21 PM Number 1...
Starkiller 11-02-2006, 07:22 PM As long as he's not doing anything else that can get him into any more legal trouble, I'm OK with it...
Plus, if I had that kind of money I'd probably get myself a nice mink coat (I could never pull that look off... :ha:).
bongo59 11-02-2006, 07:22 PM Number 1...
nope
earlcampbellfan 11-02-2006, 07:24 PM probably #4 since he seems to consistantly make bad choices
bongo59 11-02-2006, 07:28 PM we have a winner......................a family member works there and he came in today to find white mink and racoon coat and when they did not have one he will come in and get measured for one................Jaime's staff is now looking to buy the materials to make it..................here is the classic line he used to the girls today...................
"I need this coat so I look good driving around in my Lamborghini"
I guess he has his priorites straight.....................this guy has no chance of making it here long term. This will be his last yr in TN in my opinion.
paraconspiracy 11-02-2006, 07:34 PM so what if he's buying a mink coat? as long as he didnt kill the animals after hunting season is over i really dont give a crap...
do you know for a fact he isn't thinking about his choices... cause i'm pretty sure thats info even you cant get.
do you know he isnt watching ravens games? doubt it... even if he didnt get coaches tapes i bet he doesnt have a hard time finding tape on them...
do you know if he isn't wandering the titans next move? doubt it...
this thread is pretty pointless
ammotroop 11-02-2006, 07:39 PM I can see Bongo's point. Is he right for us? Yeah, I want him to perform well, but I am SICK of having to worry about weather we can rely on him. What if he gets suspended when the game REALLY matters. It could get ugly....
earlcampbellfan 11-02-2006, 07:39 PM i think the point of this thread shows what the mentality of some of the young nfl players that get thrown a lot of money. Adam is trouble for Tenn. So is AH. I will be glad to see them go. Troubled players make bad choices on and off the field.
paraconspiracy 11-02-2006, 07:45 PM i under stand everybody's concern... and you are right... if all he did this whole week was go shopping... but i hardly think thats it. why is it irresponsible to buy a fur coat? its not. we dont know what hes doin... maybe just maybe he's decided to punish himself and live like they do in africa with no shelter outside for the next week ... he needs a coat. maybe he has a few million to spend and buying a fur couat is like us going to burlington coat factory on the weekend... is that irresponsible? what if you've killed 50 peopl in the past year... then you go buuy a fur coat... does buying the fur coat show anything about how much of a team cancer you are... no... the crime does... the coat is a coat.
this thread would make a lot more sense if it was about him smaking some girl or haveing a **** coach fisher party. he's not.
the man is just cold
TitanJeff 11-02-2006, 07:46 PM Maybe it's a T-Rac coat.

Gunny 11-02-2006, 07:50 PM geez get the lynch mob out he is buying a coat. OMG what is he thinking? He should be locked in his bedroom and thinking about what he has done.
I am sure all the perfect people here that has had some run in with the law (ie speeding) have done just that, gone home and thought about what they have done and didn't leave their bedroom. Now they never do anything wrong.
I forgot this is the forum for the perfect people, the ones who can do no wrong.
Sheesh Pacman, what were you thinking, buying a coat, the nerve of you.
Suspend him for another game now.
FYI I don't believe in the my uncles cousins sisters brothers father in law told me this crap.
paraconspiracy 11-02-2006, 07:50 PM ha!
bongo59 11-02-2006, 07:50 PM LOL on that picture....................Adam should be rededicating himself.............worry about a coon and mink coat is just totally not what he should be doing one day after losing the honor of playing in the NFL.
titanbuoy 11-02-2006, 07:52 PM How about 5. all of the above
It probably took him ninety minutes tops to drive to the store and order this tacky coat. Unless I'm a lot worse at math than I thought that still leaves him 22.5 hrs to take care of 1,2 and 3... No?
There's no doubt there's a lot to critique when it comes to Jones’ behavior and I hope he eventually grows up. If he doesn’t change well it sucks for him and the Titans will move on, but to criticize the guy for going out and buying an expensive coat is lame IMO.
Are we going to see a thread tomorrow that blasts Jones for going out and buying a new TV?
Gunny 11-02-2006, 07:52 PM Last time I checked Pacman is an adult, he can do whatever the hell he wants.
Starkiller 11-02-2006, 07:56 PM Last time I checked Pacman is an adult, he can do whatever the hell he wants.Well... that's debatable...
Gunny 11-02-2006, 07:57 PM well legally he is
ammotroop 11-02-2006, 07:59 PM I am not debating that there is nothing wrong with buying a coat. I could give a **** less if he bought 200 coats. My point is, that he is SUSPENDED for this game. This isnt his first rodeo either. It is getting scary.

yeah i think thats about right too...
i bet he's doing all of the above.
theres a point in a boys life when he must become a man. its hard to give up old things that just dont seem wrong to you or to quit doing things you enjoy doing ( whether thats spitting.. smoking... whatever). pac is at that point. he knows what he needs to do... he's just trying to break old habits. i can see the frustration in him... he doesnt feel like he's wrong.... but i think he's starting to realize the consequences of his actions. its possible to do right even if you dont agree with it... if the rewards is enough.
i think he'll be all right. is this the last incident... dont think so. but is it the last time he spits on a chick outside of his bedroom? prolly.

TitanJeff 11-02-2006, 08:44 PM He may have stopped by the coat store after visiting the orphanage and on the way to the old folks home.
See, this is the kind of stuff that has made me vacation over here.
I don't know if bongo makes this stuff up or not, but I love it.
I've got a few thoughts here:
- Wonder if Adam knows that down jackets are more practical, breathe in hot and cold weather, and come in a variety of colors so that if you choose to replace your Lambo with a Hummer, well, easy enough to buy a different color jacket.
- Do you think Adam left the mink store and went to the boot place to buy some endanger crocodile skin boots? A whole new reason to question his maturity, let alone to dispute his membership in PETA.
- Any chance that Adam was planning on bringing home his playbook for extra study time, but decided against when he found out that bongo has out spies checking rental cars to determine who our next free agent signing might be?
My bet is that as I type this note, Adam is snuggled up to a good book, listening to a little Bach, and contemplating the error of his ways.
Or not.
bongo59 11-02-2006, 08:58 PM code I swear on my life this is the gospel.....................truthfully it is so pathetic I could not make it up....................the guy is a turd of colassal proportions.................
just having a little fun with you here bongo. i'm so far too old to be able to understand pac's clothing purchases that anything i would say on this subject just makes me look silly ... i do however hope that adam invests in a high quality loogie guard for this jacket. seems like spitting on girls is just something all the in guys do.
bigtitan53279 11-02-2006, 09:24 PM anybody remember mcnair and his gameday mink coat?
IMO Jones is heading for a crash.. I also here he's spending it like there is no tomorrow.. but eventually the money runs out or he winds up in the wrong place...

SupDawg 11-02-2006, 10:27 PM LOL... I really don't care about what he buys... Please don't mention AH and Adam in the same sentence. AH is a good person with a family and doesn't get into bar fights and spit on women. He just has an anger problem. He is man enough to stand up and take responsibility for his actions, something Adam has not.
Adam has a chip on his tiny shoulder and a Napoleon complex. He needs to grow up.. There is no way we cut him loose. I think we trade him for a 2nd round pick.

I see where you are coming from Bongo. It isn't the mink coat that is bothering but it is the fact he is unrepentant for his past behavior, he is completely absorbed with himself and really could care less if his teamates have to play a game without him. In his child like world he probaly wants the Titans to get beat so people can talk about how much his absence hurt the team. Thats the difference I see with PAc and AH. AH does have issues but atleast he seems to be more repentant about them.

I've got a real problem with your selective memory. You are one of the masses that love to affirm your own opinion with insinuation, innuendo, and speculation. You surmise that focal point in time (if it really happened is another issue) represents what he does his entire day and who he is. Thank God a significant portion of the world doesn't need affirmation as greatly as you do.

Gunny 11-03-2006, 09:09 AM funny that the day after 'he let the team down' he won the game for the team.

Ewker 11-03-2006, 09:36 AM I left it out because it doesn't apply to what Bulluck felt that Jones was doing to the team. So he respects him as a person..big whoop. Bulluck wants to win plain and simple so he called Jones out on it

I read it. It's hilarious you can take one statment from Bulluck and infer you know what he means and immediately disregard/omit another statment in the same segment equally represents how he "felt". Some people call that "bias" and in world of opinion it's perfectly OK. Just be prepared to be called on it if there are other people participating in the discussion of a different opinion.

Maybe you could open your eyes and see that this isn't just infantile behavior because Pacman is immature. His behavior is more than that. I would have given Pacman the benefit of the doubt a year ago but now after seeing the true stripes of this guy I'm not sure he is going to change. For all the sympathetic types remember we are going to play a game without one of our best players simply because the moron can't control his behavior. Add into the equation that he apparently does not do what Fisher tells him the pattern of rebellious behavior is very troubling. Missing practice because he is hung over after a late night of drinking and spitting is beyond excuse.
Pacman was just thinking of himself because INTs and TDs are babe magnets.
:)What? His thoughtfulness, consideration of others, gracious manner, impeccable sense of etiquette, and reputation for knowing how to treat a lady aren't enough for him to get by on? :brow:
TNThunder 11-03-2006, 10:31 AM Imagine how he feels this week. Vince Young was at the Texas game last week cheering on his former team, and WV played Louisville last night. I bet he really wanted to go to the game, but was embarrassed to show his face because he was suspended for spitting. If he had asked for a sideline pass I bet it was turned down. This will be a testy week for him.
Riverman 11-03-2006, 10:48 AM .... Missing practice because he is hung over after a late night of drinking and spitting is beyond excuse.
Is that really what happened? I honestly haven't been clear on the night before/after, sent home for flu or hung over- really don't know the details.
My major gripe with everyone lambasting pac is that due process hasn't occurred. Fisher even acknowledges that this incident is hearsay and the legal issues (including this one) isn't the issue. Fisher is also very vague (for legal- civil and NFLPA- reasons) regarding FACTS as to why the suspension.
Yes- this issue is definitely a distraction. Yes the distraction is a detriment. But it is wrong IMO, for so many people to go infer and extrapolate on Pac's character WHEN NOTHING HAS BEEN PROVEN. IT REEKS OF LYNCH MOB MENTALITY! Hey- if Pac is proven guilty of these incidents- I'm all for letting him pay the price.
I particularly get perturbed when people take one element or observation (such as purchasing a mink coat) and completely make judgements on other issues- especially when they don't apply the same issue equitably (McNair's coat and felt derby).
As an aside- I would appreciate it is somebody could clarify for me if Pac has REALLY been "suspended" (eg- no pay) or just declared "inactive" for this game. The difference has huge implications for the NFLPA and precedent for financial damages incurred if Pac ever would seek to recover losses.

Quite possibly the only intelligent post in this damn thread. I've basically given up argueing with half the people on this board, because you're simpily never going to change their mindset or un-glue them from their predisposed positions.
And sorry Bongo, I like a little proof when I read things. You seem so damn offended when people like TJ place your rumors exactly where they belong. Intelligent in what way? We do know for a fact that Pacman's behavior warranted a move by Fisher, despite how much it will hurt the team, to bench one of the best players and possibly the player of the game in a precious win considering we hadn't won two in a row going back to 2003.
Anyone with any brains knows BONGO was insinuating and not trying to justify Pacman's love of fine furs as the sole reason for him being a total jerk. The fact is, based on this moron's past behavior, Pacman could care less about anyone but himself, thinks he was somehow wronged and still doesn't get it and will go on as if he was the victim instead of the ultimate jerk. The guy is a jerk and is hurting this team and certainly his teamates don't appreciate his behavioral contributions to the team and fans especially shouldn't be anything but totally pissed off at Pacman.
KamikaZ 11-03-2006, 02:00 PM Nah, sorry. I really don't see why the furs had ANYTHING to do with any of this. It wasn't clever. If anyone wants to attack him for spitting or missing practice and then going clubbing (which is the ONLY thing any of us should be discussing punishment for, since that's the only thing that has been proven), fine. But this whole analogy that because he buys a fur, he has some sort of uncaring attitude to what happens, that he somehow doesn't care he's being suspended is a pure REACH.
If his teammates are pissed at Jones, then it needs to be addressed. If his behavior is out of line and he's becoming a serious distraction, then it needs to be addressed yesterday. But far too many people are going overboard with this spitting incident, when not a damn thing has been proven.

bongo59 11-03-2006, 06:58 PM someone needs to explain to some "posters" that there is 24 hrs in a day and you can actually go to Jaime's and BSP all in one day..................................

something some 'posters' cannot fathom.

Reminds me of a commercial for KinderEggs.... but probably not relevant for non-Scandinavians/Germans.

avvie 11-03-2006, 09:42 PM Pacman was just thinking of himself because INTs and TDs are babe magnets.
Dang!! Is THAT why I ain't gettin' any play???
titansfan9 11-04-2006, 09:47 AM this thread is terrible, Bongo so he buys a coat and he has done a devilish act- your hate for him is so much that every little move he does you must find out about it so you can criticize, we all no you hate Pacman but don't shove it down our throats with useless info like this, you trying to make Pacman look so bad that you are looking bad in the process
titansfan9 11-04-2006, 09:53 AM Intelligent in what way?
The guy is a jerk and is hurting this team and certainly his teamates don't appreciate his behavioral contributions to the team and fans especially shouldn't be anything but totally pissed off at Pacman.
because he decides to buy a coat?
its cold, he has money, if he wants to look good thats everyone's right, he shouldn't have to dress all tacky and such because he is suspended, guys you act like players don't have any lives, Im sure Pac was sad Tuesday, Wednesday, and maybe Thursday- but to think he would moap around the whole week is absurd and really it doesn't matter...
titansfan9 11-04-2006, 09:57 AM players like Adam finisher their careers with nothing..............no SB no accolades no HOF...............they are me first athletes...............we wont win with him and he will be elsewhere in 07.
that sounds more like a hope, Pacman will be here- look Bongo I always respected you as a poster, you are probably the only guy I will sit and read your posts, but your bias' really are getting out of hand- everyone that has been on titanscentral, TOMB, and goTitans- and I mean everyone- knows you hate Pacman, stuff like this shows me that you are waiting to hear every little move Pacman does so you can flame him about it, its not necessary...

Bias on Bongo's part or not Pac is self destructive and those kind of guys usually don't accomplish much compared to what they could. Heck, Owens might be the best WR in the game and one of the best of all time yet his antics have cost him a much better career and Owen's problems are not close to Pacman's. Pacman is the type who could end up doing some jail time before it is all said and done.
Childress79 11-04-2006, 05:18 PM :rotfl:
I haven't seen that in years. Looks like a job for Alex Forrest!
The Mrs 11-04-2006, 10:12 PM From what I understand, he's learning to speak Spanish. By the by, Gunny and BiPolar know that cost is for me!
Gunny 11-04-2006, 10:24 PM Pacman is whipped. :ha:
The Mrs 11-04-2006, 11:19 PM Seriously, if you are speaking of Jamie in Belle Meade, then at least spell it right! Next, from what I understand, they do NOT sell men clothes. They do not custom make clothes, more less, custom make a man a fur! Jamie in belle mead sells high end designer clothes and accessories. Faith Hill shops there, so I know that Pac wouldn't get special treatment in Jamie's store. There are more logical places for Pac to get a fur cost made. There is a tailor that several of the players use to custom make their clothes.
What i'm trying to gently say is, Pac wasn't in Jamie getting a die made for himself. Without obnoxiously dropping names, etc. Let's just say that Jamie does not offer that service to her female clients and would not offere to make a coat for a man. She would use her vendors to order what you requested, but would send a man to another store if he wanted a cost for himself.
Pac is well aware that Jamie is a women's clothing store!
Gunny 11-04-2006, 11:36 PM definitely a days of our life's quality topic.
TNThunder 11-05-2006, 09:37 AM Maybe the fur coat is a settlement to the girl he spit on.......: )
GoTitans3801 11-05-2006, 09:41 AM No, seriously guys, let's get this back on track...
Kindereggs are awesome! When I was living abroad, I went through at least one a day. My roommates and I had a killer collection of the little prizes...
Wow, haven't thought about those in forever... thanks Vig.
Jwill1919 11-05-2006, 10:49 AM The next dramatic incident I see coming from Pacman is going to be a league imposed illegal substance suspension.
