SUMMARY: Titans CB Michael Waddell will see the practice field for the first time this season on Monday. The fourth-round pick of the Titans in 2004 injured a patella tendon this past offseason and has been sidelined ever since. He will have three weeks where he can participate in practice without counting against the 53-man roster. Afterwards, he will become active or be placed on the injured reserve list. "I don't know what's going to happen because how my knee feels is very inconsistent," Waddell said. "Some days I feel like I could go out there now and do something. Other days you have a setback and it hurts my confidence."

I can't see them activating him if he knee is still day-to-day. I'm guessing he lands on IR.

I'm really hoping he'll make it back this year. Waddell's speed as a punt gunner forces opponents to account for him on every punt....they have to double- or even triple-team him to have any chance at a return. Between Waddell's raw speed and Lowry decleating guys, the Titans would have had the best gunner combo in the league, and wreaked havoc with opposing returners.

Maybe next year.....
