View Full Version : Nov 12 will be one of the most unusual games......
TitansCountry25 11-07-2006, 12:15 AM November 12th marks what could be the very last time we ever see Super-Mac #9 play in Nashville at the Coliseum the house he built. It will be probably the first game I ever see that I am not 100% behind the Titans. I love Mcnair he gave us (fans) and team his body, his heart, everything he had to give he gave it to us his entire career here in Nashville. The have D-MaSe and Samari basically they have what was our heart and soul of this franchise. Mcnair got us to the only Super Bowl (now not by himself I understand) but he is the only QB to get this franchise to the Super Bowl. He is a NFL MVP multi-time Pro Bowler bottom line he was the heart of the Titans and when he left he took a part of mine with him to our most bitter rival. The way Mcnair, Mason, and several others treated them after their service to this team and the people of nashville and were just tossed like trash from this absolute horrid front office I hope he sticks it to us all day long. I hope he can get a super bowl even if that means with Baltimore never thought I would say that ever.
Childress79 11-07-2006, 05:01 AM Sounds like your gonna grab a box of popcorn & enjoy watching your girlfriend having a good time with her ex.
I don't play that way :irked:
Yes, he gave everything he had, but he was getting very well paid in return. You would expect that from every player that goes out onto the field. Of course, once he wasn't going to get paid the way he wanted, he took his heart, his body and all that other stuff somewhere else.
GoTitans3801 11-07-2006, 09:15 AM I've got a lot of respect for McNair. I like seeing him do well in baltimore, and if I saw him in person again I'd say we missed him and thank him for his time here. That being said, when he's on the field against the Titans, I want him down. I want to see him sacked, intercepted, and off the field. I want to see us beat the ravens like last year. McNair's a great player, but on sunday he'll play for the Ravens. I root for the Titans.
Childress, that was a great line.
LazyManJackson 11-07-2006, 11:27 AM When I watch this game, I'm not gonna have mixed emotions cos I'm a Titans fan, and we're playing against the RATBIRDS, therefore, I hope we crush them, honestly, I have a LOT of respect for Steve, but no way am I gonna want him to do well...
my quote below explains why I liked Mcnair so much...
Gunny 11-07-2006, 11:30 AM because he has a fetish for pain?
because he has a fetish for pain?

Exactly:thumb: ...
flamehead2 11-07-2006, 12:43 PM Screw Mcnair and the Ravens!
I'll be Booing when he runs on the field.
FightinTitan 11-07-2006, 12:45 PM Screw Steve McNair. He's no longer a Titan.
Go Titans!
ezeblazin 11-07-2006, 01:39 PM Yes, he gave everything he had, but he was getting very well paid in return. You would expect that from every player that goes out onto the field. But didn't he restructure his contact every year so the Titans would take less of a cap hit???
TitanJeff 11-07-2006, 02:18 PM But didn't he restructure his contact every year so the Titans would take less of a cap hit???
Understand that a restructure is better for a player. He gets more in the way of a bonus than having to wait for it as base salary. All players want to restructure as it rarely means taking a cut.
SEC 330 BIPOLAR 11-08-2006, 09:12 AM yes, and doesn't that upfront money a player receives in a restructure come straight out of the owner's pocket?
metal957 11-08-2006, 10:38 AM Judgement day is upon us boys and I hope McNair is ready because after that first kickoff no mercy will be shown upon him or any other ratbird. for that matter.
R.I.P.
Steve McNair
Nov. 12 2006
Mex#1TitanFan 11-08-2006, 11:11 AM I agree that we love McNair and what he did for our team, he is still one of my favorite players and I still got his jersey in my room, I would love to be in the stadium on sunday, maybe he will have an ovation in pre game presentations, but after the kickoff I expect him to be on the ground all day, I am the #1 Mexican Titan Fan and I wish him the best but not against our team, I wish him sunday to be on his back all day long.
Please Titans win this one!!
Sunshine 11-08-2006, 11:58 AM If you're not wearing a Titans jersey, I'm not cheering for you.
Yes, he gave everything he had, but he was getting very well paid in return. You would expect that from every player that goes out onto the field. Of course, once he wasn't going to get paid the way he wanted, he took his heart, his body and all that other stuff somewhere else.
Exactly! And when he did that, he became a ratbird and I'll never cheer for a ratbird. I hope he's sacked multiple times.

I don't play that way :irked:
:rotfl:
Nice line!!!, I appreciate the Titan who was Mcnair, but heres to Vanden-bosch and the D having a big big day... Hit'em hard and hit'em Often....
:flame: Lets go titans.....
Yvette 11-08-2006, 04:34 PM Nov. 12 also is the anniversary date of our first home loss, to none other than the ratbirds. Would be nice to take back our house.
TitanJeff 11-08-2006, 05:00 PM Who wants to bet the turf is an issue? All this rain and I think the Tigers have another game Saturday. Is LenDale a mudder?
TNThunder 11-08-2006, 05:41 PM I think we should disallow passing and just make Steve and Vince run all day.
bongo59 11-08-2006, 07:01 PM dont take this the wrong way................but I hope we hurt Steve................................why.......... ..............we are more likely to win if we do...................winning is all that matters...................steve is a ratbird and if he breaks a leg and gets hurt that is part of Baltimore's history and problem....................Steve is a Raven and I could care less what happens to him....................when he retires I will honor him.................now is not the time.........is this a popular stance...................no...................but this about something more important than how we feel about steve.........................that time will come someday.
TitanJeff 11-08-2006, 07:34 PM C'mon, you don't wish harm to an opponent. Pain? Yup. I hope we slam him to that torn up ugly turf all day until he feels his sternum quiver. But harm? Nope.
avvie 11-09-2006, 12:43 AM I said it before, and now I repeat: I am really surprised that I actually have no emotion about Steve or where he went. I'm ticked that he was run off, but now he's just the ravens QB, and not Da Man, #9, Air McNair or The Face Of the Titans.
Steve wasn't "run off". His agent knew he wouldn't be let into work out. He purposely had Steve to show up so they COULD make a big deal out of it. And of course, we came out looking like the bad guys. Steve couldn't get the money he wanted here, so he forced our hand. ratbirds offered him more and he flew the coop. He's been well paid all the years he was here and I am not wasting one breath cheering for him.

Well said.
