(Rotoworld) The Titans reportedly may show interest in impending free-agent CBs Asante Samuel of the Patriots and Nate Clements of the Bills.
Impact: Samuel has a league-high eight INTs. Clements has been solid in his first year in the Tampa 2. If Tennessee adds one of the two, Reynaldo Hill would come off the bench, likely behind nickel Cortland Finnegan.

everyone is so quick to point out the lack of INTs clements has, but he has a career high 15 passes defensed.

I'm rather torn on which to go after, but leaning toward Samuel. Just not sure how he is in run support. I'll be happy with either in the end, because that means we will be very deep at the position.

bring on either one of them

Mr. Floyd Reese --- Just ask each one if they want a super bowl ring. If they say "yes" then tell them to sign on the dotted line. If they give you a weird look  tell them  to get the @#$% out of your office! :hot:

The Titans will attract talent. You'll see.

Colts are 3rd and 20 at midfield. The titans have 6 DBs dropping back. Peyton has all the time in the world. Peyton for a 40 yard pass! Touchdown Colts!

hopefully staying out of trouble

Get off the trouble bandwagon.. the guy hasnt done anything for a while.. Look on towards the future.

They want to bring on another CB to take over Hill's position because Hill sucks and what better way to improve your defense than have 2 dangerous corners.. You will force almost everything to the middle of the field, where it gets more dangerous

just like Baltimore with Chris Mc and Rolle...oh wait..my bad.

and a trouble bandwagon? that's new.

so we should keep rey out there to not tackle and not look for the ball?

ill take either corner, i like them both...samuel might be a few more bucks then clements just because of the yr he had. hopefully it happens, either would go good with pacman. wait no...maybe samuel would be a better fit just because of the dreads. haha:banana:

I would like to have either on the team. This year was Pac's breakout season on special teams, next year will be Pac's year to be a shut down corner, who no one wants to throw on. Hill has not cut it, but maybe more effective as a back-up. Finnegan has impressed me all year and if we dont pick up another starting corner I believe he shoudl get the job.
What players will be up for Free Agency at DE and FS.

Imagine a secondary with either of those FA CBs, Finnegan at nickel and an upgrade as well over LT either in the draft, FA or young guy. Makes perfect sense. I also see us upgrading the RDE postion in the draft either in the first or second round. This draft class is strong at DE.

Anything is an upgrade. The Bills fans are willing to let Clements go, which tells you he isnt all that, but he's an upgrade for us. Samuel is probably best bang for the buck. But I'll take either dude.

I'd go with Samuel. The fact that he comes from the Patriots and has a winning mentality def. helps.

Hill can stay and compete and try to win his spot back. He's worth his cheap rookie contract for depth anyway. If we get one of those two, it would seriously upgrade our D. I like the picture soxcat is painting... Sign me up for that.

From KFFL

"Mark Gaughan, of the Buffalo News, reports the Buffalo Bills will unlikely be able to re-sign CB Nate Clements, who is expected to receive a lucrative offer as a free agent in the offseason"

If they dont get a rush on the QB it wont matter if they get Champ Bailey

Soxcat is right. This draft class is packed with impact DE's. 8 potential first rounders means some of those guys will fall. Might spell good value in the first or the second. If Jamal Anderson starts to slide TRADE UP!

How about Nelson with the one, demon in the middle, then package picks up to grab New Englands 24 and snatch up Charles Johnson, Adam Carriker or Quinton Moses. Ham-burger that'd be a draft! :grrhee:

CB and ILB should definitly be adressed in FA since there seems to be available help out there. IMO.

Assante Samuel
get him
NOW
that gives us Pacman at 1, Samuel at 2, Hill at 3

Anyone notice they all have dreads

Gunny

just need to draft Reggie Nelson and get Chris Hope to grow dreads.

Maybe they could design a helmet with fake dreads hanging out like those sweet Rasta hats!

Could you see Bennet coming across the middle, dreads flowing in the wind!?

Hill wouldnt be third if we got Samuel. Cortland Finnegan.
