I haven't heard this rumor, and I'm not trying to start one; this is just something I wondered about.

Al Davis is having problems finding a new head coach. Would he want Chow? Would Chow be willing to take on such a challenge? If so, it would get him close to home. Also, I've heard that Oakland might draft a QB this year, and that might get Chow's attention.

What do you think?

I really do not think Oakland will find a coach. They struggled last year and no one wants to work for an owner who will give him one year.

I wouldn't even take that job.

Davis may as well go ahead and coach this year

pretty bad when you have to put an ad in the classified

Chow wouldn't want it so I'm not concerned

I think Chow would be too old for Davis; I believe AD is looking for a coach in his 30's...

There is a rumor that Davis called Chow to see if he would be interested. Chow's response, "I might be getting up in age but I'm not senile yet".

Whats interesting is that Kiffin is Chows successor at OC at USC. Is there any way Kiffin tries to use his ties to Chow to make him the OC of the Raiders?

That would be a lateral move by Chow so why do it? Chow has VY and works for a much better organization.

Chow has seemed happy, no reason to go to that terrible team.
