I agree Gunny and you know I love my 360, but

I think that the PS3 will eventually start to catch up as Sony wants it to have a long life cycle and they will eventually start to release their exclusive titles.

Only problem is, imo, that when the PS3 really starts to hit its stride (12-24 mos), we are going to be hearing about the impending release of the Xbox 720.

I think MS has put themselves in a great position to be the leader for a while.

btw; I don't know if you guys watch Heroes, but they were playing Heavenly Sword (future PS3 title) on a PS3 and it looked awesome!

They had time to have great launch games. Where are they? They don't have a single game franchised that's worth anything. So forgive me for thinking they're too far behind in the race.

Everyone has a 360 now. It's going to take that special something to make people spend extra money on another system, and so far it looks like they have no chance of creating that. Just about every week I have a co-worker or friend that buys a 360. I don't know a single person with a ps3. And since online play is what keeps systems afloat now, who are you going to play with on a ps3? Strangers? It's about your only option.

They dropped the ball. And they're now just staring at it rather than even attempting to pick it up.

Not that I care about DVDs since I rarely rent or buy movies, but the launch of the PS3 might help push Blue Ray forward, just like the PS2 did for the DVD. It is probably showing already as Blue Ray is outselling HD-DVD (http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/show/456) as of late.

It is widely known that great games rarely appear at consoles launch (it isn't as if the 360 was the exception). But anyhow, that's a question I'd be more concerned asking about the 360 at this point.

They are actually not that far behind considering the 360 games we've seen so far. Gears is perhaps the only game worth buying a 360 right now.

Dude I loved metal gear one. Grey fox was great. Sons of liberty was ok. Snake eater was the most retarded game ever made. You start off in a jungle, and it's just retarded. I would much rather play halo 2, the best first person shooter ever, over metal gear solid.

Aside from the terrible ending (it's not even an ending) there was nothing special about it.

It's good (I'm not saying Halo sucks) but everyone knows the strength of the game is online.

Halo 2 story was dissapointing. I beat it so quick, I was so pissed on how short it was. Finishing this fight sir. But Snake eater was terrible, but I aint into those games. If you ever get some extra guap, and have an interest in movies, then it will be a good purchase down the line my friend. Blu-Ray movies are fantastic with a HD-TV and some strong surround sound system. You may be in luck as a 360 owner, as a Blu-Ray attachment might be coming soon.
