the question here is who are they targeting? they've got pretty good recievers in Cotchery and Coles and Pennington looked pretty good most of last season, unless they're really questioning his durability I don't really see a reason for them to trade up that high.

My guess: Adrian Peterson

do they need to get to #2 to get him? although I guess if the Lions are the only team in the top five willing to deal with them, they kinda have to

it's been speculated that the browns will take him at 3, so i guess they do.

ok, most of what I've seen has the Browns going o-line, but I guess all it takes is one person to suggest them taking AP to get teams thinking about the possibility

The Browns can get Peterson, and he wouldn't be effective running behind that o-line. It all starts in the trenches, o-line is the most important thing to build. That's why the texans, browns, cardinals well forget I said the browns. The Cards have Boldin, Fitz, Lienart, James, and they still win 5 games because of no o-line.

They just signed Thomas Jones...I highly doubt they take AP

is there a need on the jets for the big Tackle from Wisconsin?

Probably not. They have DaBrickashaw furgeson at LT (last year's #1 pick for the the jets) and Nick Mangold at Center.
Highly doubtful they go after the guy from Wisconsin (Joe Thomas?)

true
it wouldnt make a whole lot of sense to trade all that to put yourself in position to draft a guy you dont really need

It would be surprised if they go offense with the first pick, their offense doesn't really need any big stars, with Jones and Pennington they've got a pretty good backfield Coles and Cotchery are solid recievers and maximus already pointed out that they used two picks last year on solid linemen, I don't see much on offense that really needs first round type improvement.

I think they'll probably go d-line or LB to try to help their run game, they were bottom 10 in rushing yards per game last year and bottom six in opponents' ypc, I'm not sure who will be there at 25, but that's the position I see them using their first pick.

Also, did this trade actually happen because now that they have Jones I really don't see anyone they'd need to trade up to #2 for
