Well, what's the deal? Is that correct or not?

And considering they spent a 2nd round pick on Welker signing Stallworth would just be stupid, imo.

Found it on Comcast, says from Drew. I can't call Drew myself right now to confirm or not  just posting what I see. If it is false I'd be happy.

I was being sacarstic with all the people being pissed about not signing anybody. i said before stallworth is not worth it, and will be signed for more money then he is worth. This is unlike NE if this report is true because they never spend money.

Worst site ever they always report false things. I would take it with a grain of salt.

well i heard he rejected the patriots offer and is headed to nashville tomorrow. LETS GRAB HIM! Stallworth and VY could work out very well.

Crash Override

^yeah they would work well for about 4 games until stallworth gets hurt.

Better Stallworth than nobody..

I think we would be better off with Joe Horn...

at least temporarily

texdude2006
03-06-2007, 07:50 PM
Horn has been more injury prone than Stallworth the past 2 seasons..

MDK Titan
03-06-2007, 07:53 PM
I still would rather have him

yeah, old AND injury prone. that's the kind of WR we need.

texdude2006
03-06-2007, 08:00 PM
Yeah do you really want a 13th year WR? No thank you.

Crash Override
03-06-2007, 08:05 PM
signing a guy like horn at his age would be a team who would only use his services for a year or two, and are most likely going into the playoffs. we need a long term solution.

Gunny
03-06-2007, 08:08 PM
There are no long term solutions in Free Agency.

Crash Override
03-06-2007, 08:09 PM
exactly, build through the draft.

Puck
03-06-2007, 08:12 PM
Horn would be our next Thigpen / Pickens
no thanks

Realize Stallworth outplayed Bennett despite playing in 4 fewer games
whats ironic is that his gaudy YPC (near 20) is countered with a low catch-per-game avg. He didn't catch more than 6 balls in any game .. but we don't really need him to be a possession guy

Stallworth's the kinda guy who can put up 1k / 10td season if he can keep from pulling his hammy

Gunny
03-06-2007, 08:14 PM
Stallworth is more likely to be a Pickens/Thigpen. He is young, wants a mega deal and will have to be cut 2 years later.

Horn, even if injured won't be signed long term.

yeah, old AND injury prone. that's the kind of WR we need.

he was still pretty productive when he was playing and like Gunny said it wouldn't be long term anyways.

Puck
03-06-2007, 09:24 PM
then there's no need

Gunny
03-06-2007, 09:27 PM
there is plenty of need.

no WR currently available is worth a mega contract, especially not Stallworth.

Puck
03-06-2007, 09:31 PM
uhhh,,,..... there's no need in Horn
an aging, short term ..... oh nevermind

Stallworth played 2 full seasons prior to this year, in which he missed 4 games and did not miss a game after week 7 and he was very productive when he played. I think his injuries are blown out of proportion.

There are no long term solutions in Free Agency.

Correction, there are no long term solutions anywhere...

NFL = Not For Long

You have the same chance to bring in a FA as you do resigning your own FAs..

At least our team has a hard time to resign our own FAs.

I disagree, they very often have the right story and when it's highly speculative they're usually good at admitting it. Of course they get a story wrong from time to time, that could happen even to Bongo....

I like PFT, you just shouldn't take everything as fact, like most breaking news...

Great, now I guess we need to think about trading for the Seattle WR.

Someone needs to change the name of this thread. It was a false report. They offerd him a contract he diddnt sign. Hes in Nashville rite now:grrhee:

Just the fact that they offered him the contract doesn't help. Hopefully the huge magnet we drafted #1 last year starts to work now.

I think Stallworth will be a Titan when it's all said and done. We've had our fair share of players leaving th past few days (Bennett, Henry, Brown, Wade) now it's time we started to bring players in.

Ah it's a matter of choice. But when a week before free agency started they said AD Thomas has signed a deal with the 49ers already, it's a lock. Yeah look what happens he signs with the Pats. Also said the same thing about David Boston. Also reported that Brodrick Bunkley was arrested and he wasn't it was a player who's name sounded like Bunkley. Then they apologzie. It's a cheap site who gets off by making humours comments.

We need to sign Stallworth quick if were going to sign him. The longer we wait the more his value goes up. As more WR's are signed else where. Like Horn.
