GTA is a video game, kinda different

And as a side note, I was in NYC about a year and a half ago and saw an add for GTA 3 placed on top of a cab, oh the irony :ha:

not if you're apart of the crowd that thinks the media has a hinderance on a child's development.

Well, I'm not, I think any decent parents should be able to teach their kids that what happens in video games, movies, tv shows, etc. doesn't work in real life. I personally think blaming any type of media for screwing kids up is just passing the blame.

This clip is from South Park, so there is some language, but I feel it's appropriate here and illustrates my point:

Game trailer looks good, of course the game won't look like that.

As for South Park, in their own weird way, they are usually spot on with opinions and points of view.

I've always thought the same thing, and I'm always amazed at what they can get away with

I think it might (on the proper hardware naturally), it looks very much like a tech demonstration.

I wouldn't think so with a game so expansive at GTA.

Apparently the whole trailer was in-game.

"It's great to hear that everything shown in the trailer, according to Rockstar reps, is all in-game as well."

so was Killzone 2.

Despite of everything that has been said about Killzone, we haven't seen anything from that game since the E3 trailer. So I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until I actually see some game play. Granted, it is very unlikely that it will be exactly as the trailer, but I wouldn't mind if it gets pretty close.

As for the GTA trailer, I didn't think it was that much impressive as to say that it's impossible to see it in-game.

They actually have a point...

I think they admitted it Killzone wasn't ingame.

As for as the graphics, the scope of GTA 4 is what makes me skeptical about it.

Sure, but you have to consider the hardware. San Andreas wasn't a flawless game by any means, but for a game so big running on inferior hardware, it had beautiful visuals.

I would expect a considerable improvement on the hardware the game is currently being built on.

Well, Oblivion on full settings is not far from what you see in that trailer.

^true. I don't know why it couldn't look like that. It looks great, but not mindblowing or anything. And they've obviously been putting in some serious work on this.
Can't wait. I'm glad it's modern day.
