Is it possible to subscribe to ESPN Podcasts and have itunes download it automatically when you open it (like titansonline has)?

Yes, just subscribe to whatever podcasts you want in iTunes. Then open your iTunes preferences, go to the podcast section, and make sure it is set to download new shows every hour.
