Man we are getting scary at the right time.

Our last five wins are by - 18 ( AT Detroit), 31 (New Jersey), 29 (New York), 19 (Charlotte) and 33 (AT Washington).

Three playoff teams and two were away as well.

LeBron James is a cheater, hey gunny, remember two years ago, bulls vs wizards, game 6 playoffs, gilbert sunk that fader that silenced chicago. Wizards woulda been in a good position to make a run this year, but the losses of Gilbert and Caron kills us, when it rains it pours in washington.

if washington beats toronto, we get caron back, we can take cleveland in 7 then Detroit in 7 then the Mavericks in 7 :)

Actually if seems if there is a tie Toronto get the #2 seed (they are division winner) and then it seems Chicago will go #3 (will revert back to two way tie system)

RyansTitans
04-16-2007, 12:53 AM
From the Cavs.com forum

"Chicago would have to go 0-1
We would have to go 2-0 or 1-1
Toronto would have to go 2-0

If that happens we automatically get the 2 seed. If we go 2-0, we get it and if we go 1-1 we still get it because the 3 teams all end up with 49 wins, a 3 way tie, but between the 3 teams head to head records we have the most wins.

Chicago plays @ NJ
Cavs play @ Phi and home to Mil
Toronto plays @ Det then home to PHI"

Lebron cheated against washington last year, twice, the game winner when he walked and the game winner when he carried, and bulluck, Caron could be back 2nd Round or 3rd Round....Gilbert is done for the season tho. but Antonio Daniels is a tru point guard, like 16.2 ppg and 10.4 apg these last 10 games. AD, Stevenson, Butler, Jamison, Thomas, not that bad of a squad, we could at least take Toronto.

Ok, the second one wasn't travelling, but this one definately is. He grabbed the ball then planted both feet. He then moves both feet, jumps, and lands before taking the shot. I'd say that's pretty much the definition of traveling.

RyansTitans
04-16-2007, 11:35 AM
Even if he did travel who cares. If the refs are too blind to see it then thats on them.

Im pretty sure everyone here would be ok with a player on their team traveling and scoring the game winning shot and not getting caught.

Who cares. We won thats all that matters.

Were doing it again too. Miami is gone in the first round.

maybe he isnt a cheater, maybe the better title is, not good enough to win a game fairly. LeBron doesnt want the ball in the clutch, and he said that, Gilbert Arenas on the other hand, is the most clutch player in the NBA, before he went down with that injury of course.

RyansTitans
04-16-2007, 11:58 AM
Lebron dosent need to score 60 points to proove hes good. Hes unselfish and dosent take every single shot like Gilbert and Kobe do.

He knows he could take it inside on anyone in the NBA and no one would stop him. Everyone knows that.

Gilbert may be clutch but when it all comes down to it LeBron is still playing , Gilbert is on the bench.

Lebron for the win.

Gunny
04-16-2007, 12:41 PM
Kobe - 22.9 shots per game
Arenas - 20.9 spg
LeBron - 20.9 spg

Lebron averages 27.5 ppg if im not correct, the next highest scorer on the cavs is like 14.9, Gilbert averages 28-29, the next highest scorers both have around 20, jamison and caron, and gunny you just disproved your point by saying gilbert takes just as many shots as lebron, and still gets more points.

Gunny

I mean i'm not a big Lebron fan, but the criticism he gets is pretty much unwarranted. The man is freaing three years older than I am, and has averaged almost 27 points per game over his first four seasons. Yeah he's not as "clutch" as people would like him to be, but that will come in time. The fact of the matter is that he's always being compared to Jordan, and Mike didn't win his first title until his seventh season, and that was with Scottie. Now, you can talk about his supporting cast and how good (or bad) it is, but until he gets a legit bona fide second option the Cavs aren't going to go anywhere. Just like the Bulls didn't get over the hump without Pippen.

The Wizards would be alright if they were playing without Caron or Gil, but not without both

DCtitan49
04-19-2007, 04:19 PM
if they had both they would be contenders for the title, without both, they still play better defense, gil isnt entirely replaceable but we have a true point guard in antonio daniels, Caron might be back 1st round, most likely 2nd round, and we play the cavs tight every game, the game against indiana is really going to help the wizards, i think they learned how to close out games, and jamison is definiatly capable of putting up 40-50 when he needs too.

Here are my bold predictions.

EAST

(1) Detroit vs. (8) Orlando
I've got one word for the Magic. Birth Control.
Pick: Pistons in 5.

(2) Cleveland vs. (7) Washington
I saw the Wiz in the 80's. Michael Jackson and Diana Ross Sucked. MJ still has a worthless Beatles collection tho', and that gets the Wizards a win.
Pick: Cavaliers in 5

(3) Toronto vs. (6) New Jersey
At some point, the Canadian blokes will give up and trade baskets for beer. That's just how it is going to go down.
Pick: Nets in 7.

(4) Miami vs. (5) Chicago
The Bulls will rent Kazaam. It's gonna be that ugly.
Pick: Miami in 5

WEST
(1) Dallas vs. (8) Golden State
Golden State sucks so bad, some burglars broke into the arena, and left money for 'em. It won't help.
Pick: Mavericks in 7.

(2) Phoenix vs. (7) LA Lakers
I thought of the Lakers once before, when I was at the zoo.
Pick: Suns in 6

(3) San Antonio vs. (6) Denver
I know what sign Denver was born under, and it said "red light district."
Pick: Spurs in 5

(5) Utah vs. (4) Houston
The jazz have slipped into something more comfotable, and it's called a coma.
Pick: Rockets in 6

ROUND 2
EAST
(1) Detroit vs. (4) Miami
Shaq is so old, he still owes Moses a dollar. But he can rattle the rim.
Pick: Miami in 6

(2) Cleveland vs. (6) New Jersey
Cleveland's light at the end of the tunnel, is New Jersey.
Pick: Cleveland in 6

WEST
(1) Dallas vs. (4) Houston
T-Mac eats Dirk alive. He makes him miss. It's the perfect matchup for the Rockets, and houston's only weakness in this matchup is backcourt speed, which they have a lot more than 2 years ago. Dallas is done. Pick: Rockets in 6.

(2) Phoenix vs. (3) San Antonio
The Suns will have enough tempo to wipe the floor with the Spurs.
Pick: Suns in 5

CONFERENCE FINALS
EAST
(4) Miami vs. (2) Cleveland
This is a David Sterm dream come true. But Lebron's star falls a little short. He won't go the distance this year, because Miami is just too good. Better coaching too.
Pick: Miami in 6

WEST
(4) Houston vs. (2) Phoenix
The Rockets proved they could beat the Suns at full strength. They jumped the hurdle. It will go seven, and all seven games will be blow outs. This is a tuff matchup for the Rockets, but the Suns proved to me they don't rebound, I mean, they don't rebound at all. The Rockets do. And that wins it.
Pick: Rockets in 7

NBA FINALS

Houston owns Shaq. Plain and simple. Miami finally shows signs of dying. And they do. T-mac is mvp. It's on him. And he shoulders the burden.

Here are my bold predictions.

EAST

(1) Detroit vs. (8) Orlando
I've got one word for the Magic. Birth Control.
Pick: Pistons in 5.

(2) Cleveland vs. (7) Washington
I saw the Wiz in the 80's. Michael Jackson and Diana Ross Sucked. MJ still has a worthless Beatles collection tho', and that gets the Wizards a win.
Pick: Cavaliers in 5

(3) Toronto vs. (6) New Jersey
At some point, the Canadian blokes will give up and trade baskets for beer. That's just how it is going to go down.
Pick: Nets in 7.

(4) Miami vs. (5) Chicago
The Bulls will rent Kazaam. It's gonna be that ugly.
Pick: Miami in 5

WEST
(1) Dallas vs. (8) Golden State
Golden State sucks so bad, some burglars broke into the arena, and left money for 'em. It won't help.
Pick: Mavericks in 7.

(2) Phoenix vs. (7) LA Lakers
I thought of the Lakers once before, when I was at the zoo.
Pick: Suns in 6

(3) San Antonio vs. (6) Denver
I know what sign Denver was born under, and it said "red light district."
Pick: Spurs in 5

(5) Utah vs. (4) Houston
The jazz have slipped into something more comfotable, and it's called a coma.
Pick: Rockets in 6

ROUND 2
EAST
(1) Detroit vs. (4) Miami
Shaq is so old, he still owes Moses a dollar. But he can rattle the rim.
Pick: Miami in 6

(2) Cleveland vs. (6) New Jersey
Cleveland's light at the end of the tunnel, is New Jersey.
Pick: Cleveland in 6

WEST
(1) Dallas vs. (4) Houston
T-Mac eats Dirk alive. He makes him miss. It's the perfect matchup for the Rockets, and houston's only weakness in this matchup is backcourt speed, which they have a lot more than 2 years ago. Dallas is done. Pick: Rockets in 6.

(2) Phoenix vs. (3) San Antonio
The Suns will have enough tempo to wipe the floor with the Spurs.
Pick: Suns in 5

CONFERENCE FINALS
EAST
(4) Miami vs. (2) Cleveland
This is a David Sterm dream come true. But Lebron's star falls a little short. He won't go the distance this year, because Miami is just too good. Better coaching too.
Pick: Miami in 6

WEST
(4) Houston vs. (2) Phoenix
The Rockets proved they could beat the Suns at full strength. They jumped the hurdle. It will go seven, and all seven games will be blow outs. This is a tuff matchup for the Rockets, but the Suns proved to me they don't rebound, I mean, they don't rebound at all. The Rockets do. And that wins it.
Pick: Rockets in 7

NBA FINALS
(4) Houston vs. (4) Miami
Houston owns Shaq. Plain and simple. Miami finally shows signs of dying. And they do. T-mac is mvp. It's on him. And he shoulders the burden.

ryan,,, your looking in the wrong places, the cavs might have a easy road, but i got news for you, the cavs arent that great of a team, they have no depth, only about 2 guys that can score for you both are inconsistent, they have no step up man, if im picking from a non biased standpoint out of that bracket, ive got the Nets, they are so much deeper then the cavs, toronto and the wizards, they have Jason Kidd, and Vince Carter who can step up in the clutch, Richard Jefferson a former all-star, the cavs might have an easy road, but so does every other team in that bracket...

Tall wins in this league over small. There's no doubt about it. Yao has the same problem with Pheonix, but we let Yao play, and half the time we kill them on the boards. Sometimes the Suns do run us, but again, I think tall always wins in the end.

CAVS -> They wont have to face any hard teams until the conference finals. And it will prolly be the Bulls. It will be a fight, but i think the Cavs will make it.

Nuggets -> With the Lakers looking like they can maybe beat the Suns, the Mavs getting dominated by the Warriors, and the Jazz and Rockets sort of even......i see the Nuggets being the best team left.

Cleveland are not built to compete in this playoffs. I swear this is a team that should be so much better than they play. My WizKids, without our two best players, still game with y'all. We're missing our scrappiest defender/scorer and our best playmaker, and still we can hang with you guys for 3 quarters, two games in a row. Unacceptable for a Cleveland team that thinks they're the ****. They STILL don't have the playoff competitive spirit to compete against Detroit (and yes, they're still the team to beat in the East). And unfortunately,

I shudder to think about how bad the East is year after year compared to the West. It really is becoming embarrassing how inept this conference is year after year. However, Toronto and Chicago look to be young teams who will make a difference for a few years, Raptors especially. All they need is some experience.

I really dont think the score matters. So what if you hung with us through out the game. Golden State beat Dallas the first game.. anyone think that would happen? Some teams play with more passion then others and for you guy to not have your 2 best players you came into the first 2 games with a lot of heart and didn't wanna just give up and admit defeat.

The margin of victory doesn't matter. The W is what matters.

Sometimes, the passion of the team doesn't overshadow that fact that you guys have ALL your stars and pieces, and we're missing our two biggest. If you actually watched out games, we play the way we are right now most of the time. But the fact remains, we have no reliable big men, and too many guards. Our only reliable player is Jamison, with Hayes and Daniels doing their part (both bench players forced to start), with some really pourous forwards trying to be better than they are.

Actually, Golden State is a very exciting team, which plays with a lot of scrap and flash, something the Cavs and a lot of other East teams know nothing about. So no, it's wasn't surpsing; they actually HAVE their best players in Davis and Richardson.

My point was that Cleveland is still showing that they have no killer instinct in the playoffs. Cavs have the talent to be the very best in the East, so why aren't they? There competitiveness is dwarfed by their talent, which is a real shame. I've always had a problem with them, because teams with all the pieces on paper seem to always disappoint.

take away any teams 2 best players and there gonna struggle, not even wizards fans expect the wizards to get to the championship this year, we were down 17 at the half and we came back and outscored cleveland 21-4 in the 3rd quarter eventually tieing the game, it was so electric in the phone booth.

hmmm

Z and Gooden amoung NBA's best in rebounding.

Andy number 1 in drawing charges.

LeBron and Sasha taking it to the hole.

Larry and Donyell knocking down 3's

I say we have a pretty GOOD amount of players.

Gunny
04-30-2007, 11:58 PM
Gooden - 8.5 rpg

Big Z - 7.7 rpg

Sasha - 9.0 ppg

Marshall - 35% from 3

Hughes - 33% from 3

And don't get me started on Sideshow Bob, he's a flopper.

They are not good.

Why is it so hard to grasp that the Warriors have the Mavs on the ropes right now? It's been a superb series...

DCtitan49
05-02-2007, 07:31 PM
Just like the Wizards right?
last i checked the wizards were crawling into the playoffs, the mavs have the "MVP" a title that duck doesnt even deserve, hes soft, and the mavs cant run with teams like the wizards, warriors, and suns, face it, they are offensive elites, and the Mavs blew there engine out in the 82 game preseason....

bulluck4dMVP
05-02-2007, 08:12 PM
Of course we can't run with the Wizards, there at home.

And the Suns? Well my friend, we beat them 4-2 in the WCF last year & then split with them this past season 2-2. I wouldn't exactly call that "unable to run with the solars"

This GS & Dallas series is great basketball though, very exciting & I enjoy it.

Man, what a collapse by the mavericks. But this said, the Warriors are good. They were the hottest team coming into the playoffs. They are the hottest team still left in it. They are playing with passion. And playing as well as the Suns. Rowdy crowd too. What this does is open the door for the Jazz or Rockets, and the winner of Spurs and Suns will be in good shape. The West just got a lot easier.

Cavs > Mavs

Were championship bound if we get past CHI or DET

Gunny
05-04-2007, 08:37 AM
what are you dribbling about?

Cavs has no one besides LeBron. Everyone that knows basketball knows it.

he was talking about trading Dirk for KG.

and well done on being captain obvious. You just forgot the Nets.

RyansTitans
05-04-2007, 08:52 AM
what are you dribbling about?

Cavs has no one besides LeBrown. Everyone that knows basketball knows it.

he was talking about trading Dirk for KG.

and well done on being captain obvious. You just forgot the Nets.

I said that meaning they are no competition and were going to beat either team that we need to face.

Its gonna end up being us and you or Detroit.

And you can keep saying it over and over. WE are not a one man team.

We lost 1 game last season without LeBron

And btw I hope you made a spelling error when you said "LeBrown" cuz if you did mean to type that then thats messed up and racist

Gunny
05-04-2007, 08:57 AM
lol didn't notice LeBrown, I will have to change that.

Anyway don't get too ****y, the Nets won't be easy.

RyansTitans
05-04-2007, 09:09 AM
Im not trying to be ****y I just know we are a good team.

GS is a really good team tho

Gunny
05-04-2007, 09:14 AM
I do think the Cavs are a good team, but they are a one man team.

RyansTitans
05-04-2007, 09:20 AM
Lebron scores anywhere around 20 to 29 points a game.

We as a team average around 90 to 95 points a game.

Who score the rest?

Our coach?

We play defense.

Defense wins championships.

We are the best offensive rebounding team in the NBA

Gunny
05-04-2007, 10:11 AM
Same can be said for most teams remaining in the playoffs.

RyansTitans
05-04-2007, 10:26 AM
But my point is you claim were a 1 man team.

Were not.

The Lakers are the perfect example of a 1 man team.

If LeBron wanted to make the team a 1 man team hed not be as unselfish and take over the game himself.

Gunny
05-04-2007, 10:44 AM
There stats are not all that dissimilar to make a claim that LeBron is less selfish than Kobe.

The Cavs have no one else on their team just like the Lakers.

RyansTitans
05-04-2007, 10:59 AM
Well..

You may think Big Z , Gooden , Hughes , Pavs , Snow , Varejao , Marshall , Damon , Boobie Gibson , and Ira are nobodies..

but together they got us the 2nd seed in the playoffs and a second straight 50 win season.

Gunny
05-04-2007, 11:33 AM
they are role players.

and chicago got you the 2nd seed.

bulluck4dMVP
05-04-2007, 11:36 AM
Because you are in the East my friend. Whether you want to believe it or not Cleveland would not survive in the West. I admit, Dallas lost to a good team who was very hot coming into playoffs, plain & simple. Plus, it didn't help Dirk didn't show up & personally i believe Dirk is done here & he will be traded this summer whether it be for Garnett or maybe even the # 2 pick in the draft to get Durant. Howard, Stack & Diop were the only 3 players that played with heart & hustle in every game. I think Avery will let Howard have an even more expanded role next season & he showed me in this series that he's ready for star status. It is what it is though, time to move on.
