Man, it costs 800 points. Epic said they wanted them to be free, but go figure. Microsoft just couldn't help but put a price tag on it.

Yeah I like it a lot. Respawns definelty are awsome and if your in a clan it's a great way to warm up for a match. Lot's of killing=lots of fun.

Too bad it's 800 points though I only have 400 some left and don't feel like spending the money.

How do you get points?

If you have live you can buy them on there from the marketplace in the xbox live panel or go to an electronic store and buy them there then you just type in the code and recieve the points.

wouldn't it just be easier to pay in dollars like on PS3?

Do you have PS3 or XBOX360? Because I don't have PS3 so I don't know how to buy point on PS3 just 360.

I have a PS3 and if you want to buy a game or whatever you just buy it online and download it (as far as I know, I haven't bought a game yet, but have downloaded free demos).

I don't know how PS3 works so I'm not sure how to buy points for PS3 sorry.

thats cool... i played the new maps today when i got home and they are much bigger than the other ones, and in two of them there are like natural disasters

Garden - to get to the sniper u have to turn off some switches or else the gas will kill u

Bullet Marsh - if the other team shoots out a generator where u are standing it will turn dark and the kryll will come and down u, takes like 5 seconds for the kryll to come tho

Yeah, I love them. Process is HUGE. Once it gets down to 1 on 1, it can take awhile to find your opponent. I like how on these maps it's harder to see, and easier to hide if you want to. I don't hide, but it's cool that people can sneak up on you and everyone blends in. People just pop out of nowhere.

Are maps for multi player live or single player. I don't play on line.

Multiplayer. Man, how can you have Gears and not play online? That's the best part! Unless you just don't bother with the xbox live in general.

I only entered live once, using the midway demo, and I got my arse kicked. It was fun until I relaized everyone was better than I was. And I had no chance. So I'm not that into it because it seems like you have to play a lot to have any fun and be any good. I will probably try more later. But for now, I just like playing the games in single player and keeping it simple. I would be interested to see a horror game on the live. Or something more epic like oblivion or a rpg.

And is it me, or do the live arade games all suck. They look like games i played when i was 10.

yea but on PS3 u only kno if someone is online for that particular game, and u have to get a different online name for each game, u can have the same one, but it might be taken by someone in a different game... xbox live is much better at being able to get and play with friends in a game and knowing what game other friends are playing

msn messenger will be on live soon. PhiSlammaJamma, that's how we all are at first. When I first played gears I just ran around getting killed, but you catch on quick and you get better without even realizing it. When I'd die I'd press the LB/RB button to watch how other people played.
The better the people are you play with, the better you get. Any time I join a random room now I usually wipe the entire opposing team out myself if the opportunity is there.
Same way in Madden too, I thought I was good at Madden til' I played online, but after a few games I started being competitive, and now I can beat a good bit of folks.

Gunny, PS3 home will either start a fee or will be stripped down. You think movie developers are hunky-dory with videos being shared from friend to friend? Pictures with nudity uploaded, etc.
It's a good idea, it just can't survive. The virtual chat will still be there if you're in to that sort of thing, but expect changes when things get out of hand.
