I was talking with Rolltide and the subject came up of all the Titans FA next year. Interesting to ponder how our GM will be dealing with the situation. At least we have some CAP room to work with this year and next but we need to get some guys signed this year.

Here is the list:

Scaife RFA

Hall RFA

Our whole defensive line except KVB is going to be FA or RFA.
Troupe is a FA and Scaife a RFA so TE is a concern.
Not only do we have Bell a FA and Stewart a RFA next year we have two aging players at OG and C. Extending Bell and Stewart is important IMO.

Bell and Stewart need to be done in-season. I'd keep Scaife around, and Troupe if he has a good season this year. I think Big Al will be back, I don't think you're going to get someone with his talent at a low price (his price probably won't be too high because of all of the unrealized potential). Ahmard Hall absolutely has to be back. Other than that, I think you take the others on a case by case basis after the season.

I think you'll see a lot of our cap used to extend some of these players such as Bell early on and others on that list depending on how they perform during the season.

unless starks plays out of his mind i dont see us re-signing him. we have a history of not re-signing our DTs, and he has been pretty unspectacular.

Stewart and Roos have to be signed to atleast 4yr contracts they are studs and both are young and improving.

Amano and Bell are both solid and should be resigned. Amano because he gives us great depth and versatility. Bell he's not a stud but is solid as a pass protector.

Olsen is probably gone which open the door for Amano or a high draft pick. Mawae has one more year in him and then it will be Leroy Harris's job at C.

Bironas needs to be signed no doubt he's a great kicker and is clutch with a booming leg.

Hall is a phenomenal FB and needs to be signed no question.

Scaife also should be signed as a very good receiving TE and his chemistry with VY. He won't be expensive as household names and produces.

The rest basically will play out through their performance on the year.

Mawae will be here longer than a year. I heard him on Sirius today say he intends to play out his 4-year contract. I wouldn't go on to say Harris will be ready to take over for him after one year. Maybe in two, but I think Mawae will be back after this year.

you cant keep the money you have to spend 'x' percent of the cap.

I think Jesse Mahalona will step up this year...he needs more reps and could rotate in and out.
