It's true that that could be one scenario, but that's a pretty risky move. It could be a contributing factor to Fisher dragging his feet, but I'd doubt it would be the main reason. If he were set on staying in TN, he wouldn't hold up on the contract. This is a pretty big potential turning point for him.

Sounds like page-filling stuff for The Star.
If anyone is stalling, I would bet it was Bud's side. No one without a need to hit a longshot would bet the farm on the Titans to dominate this year, and Fisher is hardly needing to hit a longshot.
If things don't work out here, he supposedly won't have to wait long on job offers.

I heard Fisher is trying to switch places with Lamont Thompson... wants LT to coach this year, and JF would take the field again. A former player's version of a mid life crisis, but it just might solve our secondary problems. Brilliant.
