Thread title is pretty much self-explanatory. What is your favorite television show?

Gunny
07-22-2007, 12:47 AM
current or all time?

BigRed3

I guess either, but mostly current.

24, South Park, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Venture Brothers, Smallville, Boston Legal, Scrubs, Law and Order: SVU.

I think that is about all I watch.

Venture Brothers

Is that show pretty good? Actually, I could easily find that out on my own. A friend let me borrow the DVD a few weeks back and I have yet to watch an episode, I should probably break it open sometime.

Scrubs

Great show

It's great in my opinion. The first season brings back memories of the old style cartoons.

Redd was awesome.. Sanford and Son still makes me laugh by butt off all these years later.
Did you know Redd's real name was Sumari Sanford and his brother's name was Fred. When Redd died from his heart attack everyone thought he was pulling some schtick.. "This is the big one Elizabeth!!"

Just watched the first season of Venture Brothers last weekend, it was hilarious.

I don't really watch many tv shows, guess I'm more of a movie or sports guy (or some scientific/educational shows....of yeah, nerd channels :ha: ). But now that I've got the Blockbuster total access deal, I guess I could rent some. Maybe Sopranos? X-files?

I've always liked some cartoons like Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, Beavis and Butthead. I have kept up with Lost, but the reason I've missed out on a lot of shows I think I'd like is because I either had already missed several episodes or knew it would be hard to see them all to keep up.

I bought the Firefly series on DVD....awesome. Too bad they canceled it too soon.

Venture Bros. is good. For me, Reno 911, Da Ali G Show, hmmm. I don't watch much TV, so that's all I can think of.

Did you see the Reno 911 movie? I forgot to add 'Dog Bites Man' to the list. A show that gets no credit at all, and I can't understand why. Crossballs was pretty good too, but didn't last long.

WWE (yes I am a wrestling fan. Not the one that believes everything is real that happens. I am what you would call a "smark"(look it up) in the wrestling community. I hate Marks(look it up) I hate when Vince gives the belts to all the fan favorites rather then the wrestlers who actually DESERVE the title.)

Family Guy/Simpsons/South Park. All of them are funny in there own way. Sometimes they will do something that seems insanely wrong but somehow you laugh at it anyway.

Does SportsCenter count as a TV show?

Futureama. Cant freaking wait for the new episodes. THANK YOU COMEDY CENTRAL!!!!!

House. Love that show. Cant wait for the new season.

Battlestar Gallactica (the new series): If you have even "remote" interest in sci-fi, check this show out, rent the mini-series (2001ish; 4 hours) and go from there.

Survivor: reality (I liked the new Pirate Master, which seemed like it could be called "Survivor: Pirate Master"; But, I've only seen the show twice)

Iron Chef (the original was better; the new American version is ok): Food Network

Big Love: HBO, hot women, comedy-drama

Heroes: NBC, a little cheesy, but I expect with the success that the special effects will be really good in the second season.

Entourage: Never really liked this show until this season (except for the eye candy), which I think has been excellent.

These are the one's I can think of, that I at least try to keep up with. Deadwood was one of my favorites when it was on, still can't believe they aren't doing a 4th season or at least a wrap up 4 hour mini-series.

I've recently started watching "Curb your Enthusiasm" which I would describe as a raunchy seinfeld (which makes sense, because the producer of Sein is the main actor and producer of the show) It's been on several seasons but I've just began watching some episodes.

Oh and I'm a big fan of PTI and Around the Horn.

Boston Legal, Top Chef, Simpsons/Family Guy, Scrubs, The Office, Playmakers(sadly, only 1 season exists)...

I can watch about 60% of the stuff on Food Network. I love to cook, so I can get pretty into cooking shows.

Sadly, I don't really watch much of any of these, just no time... I watch about 3-4 hours of TV per week, and less during the summer. I've probably watched 2 or less hours of TV every week this summer.

well, not technically my "favorite" TV show
but I feel it's one of the best shows that got cancelled
and since there's no TV Show thread , it deserves a mention

I never got around to watching the show but I enjoyed the movie. I was very pissed of when Whedon's show Angel got canned. There were rumors from the word go that the studio didn't like 'Firefly', I didn't want to get attached to another series just to watch it die.

I liked the new Pirate Master, which seemed like it could be called "Survivor: Pirate Master"; But, I've only seen the show twice

me and the wife watched it for awhile
watching Christian Okoye dressed up like a pirate was funny
we thought it was a decent reality show
however, it was cancelled a few weeks back

Cheryl Kosewicz, the Deputy District Attorney from Reno, NV , who was voted off in the 4th episode, committed suicide by hanging herself in her garage - her boyfriend had committed suicide earlier in June and her brother had recently been incarcerated for murder - she was 35

I just picked up the Complete series (picture in my post) @ Target for $24.99. it was at that price for weeks on Amazon, but is now up to $39.99
over 3100 reviews and almost 2,900 were 5 stars
great show .... soon to be one of those cult classics

Firefly was shiny...

I'm not sure I can pick my all time favorite TV show, but I'd rank both Buffy and Firefly right up there (as well as the final season of Angel). Basically, I'll watch anything Joss Whedon is willing to write...

Been sick the past couple of days so i've been watching the hell out of some Entourage. The acting isn't the best, but I like the show.
