There are tons of great people in this hobby, but definitely a bunch of criminals too. The Kevin Jones thing bugs me more... it makes you question every patch that you don't see pulled from a pack. The Bush one is brutal, the seller is the worst kind of scum, but jeeebus when spending a grand, one should really take the time to read the entire auction listing. An expensive lesson learned.

I don't even see how anyone can really protect themselves unless the card companies develop a system to register the cards with an identification system. Such that only the owner can see the picture of it, and such that buyers can confirm it's clean history somehow. There must be a way to do that at some expense. And some way for e-bay enforce registration so that everyone benefits. I really don't know how safe or sorry we are right now, but if it is bad, then we need some protection from the feds.
