Since the year is coming to a close we may as well rate our top 5 movies released this year.
I actually don't have a top 5 right now, I will go with my top 2 for the moment. Until I can remember more.
1. Simpsons movie. I loved it.
2. Die Hard 4.

1) american gangster
2) the kingdom
3) 300
4) alpha dog
5) shooter/zodiac. call it a tie here.
honorable mention
bourne ultimatum, superbad, blades of glory, knocked up, halloween
*actually after rethinking it any of the honorable mentions could move into the top 5 no problem. superbad should be up there anyway.

I saw a screening of it. I'll prob see it in wide-release, cause Daniel Day Lewis gives a jaw-dropping performance.

I'm not sure I've seen five films this year.
Lemme see...
Transformers
Live Free or Die Hard
Resident Evil: Apocalypse
The only other I remember is actually from last Christmas, when Matt Damon starred as a coathanger in "The Good Shepherd". :hang: :hang:
Words cannot describe how bad that was.
And yes, I am capable of enjoying a character study.

Honestly, I haven't seen anything yet I've really liked. Transformers, Shrek III and Spiderman III were all disappointments to me. I hope to snag a few of the others on DVD this Christmas.

I like the entire Bourne series, but I dont think they're standout films.
The Kingdom was really good. Gone Baby Gone is better than most movies posted so far. Simpsons shouldn't be considered. It was alright, but not much more than that. For comedies, Superbad was more funny.
