this show was pretty sweet when it first came on like 20 years ago and i thought it was going to be sweet this time around, but it seems so rigged and fake now.

gladiators was lame. the new one that came on tonight was dorky. last time I watch that.

Remember, Gladiators was "sweet" 20 years ago when you were 20 years ago. Welcome Back Kotter and Battle of the Network Stars was "sweet" also.

Kids will like it, and college kids bored at night will watch it. I thought the eliminator was much tuffer, and those running it were dead tired by the end. They could barely walk. The wall at the end was better when you ran into someone. They need like a lava pit at the end, or a ring of fire, or some ridiculous stunt like hurdling a lion.

This was sweet for the first 2 episodes. You guy's have to get off that "everything in the past was better" mentality. The show's back, and improved IMO. Better gladiators now too, not those gay looking ones like gemini and those 2 long haired white guys.

I loved the show when i was a kid and i love it now. Its no better no worse than watching overweight couples shed pounds. Its entertaining to me, plus any chance i get to watch men in spandex... :)

What they need to do is align this with the nfl or ncaa. So that we would have like Brady Quinn vs. Matt Leinart. or Vince Young vs. Reggie Bush. You would get a big audience for something like that and I would tune in every week.

I just heard on espn yesterday that they do actually test the Gladiators for steroids, but I highly doubt that's the truth.
