I would have gone the other way without question. I've seen too many alcoholics & junkies to see it any other way.

You've done that a couple of times in the last few weeks.

You were citing to RT to support a movie you liked, while criticizing it the week before. It's very inconsistent.

Once again. I'm not citing RT to say the movie is good. I'm citing RT as a support for MY opinion. This isn't rocket science. YOU however were saying "well, RT says it's good, so it is!".

It's ridiculous to cite a source that supports your opinion when you criticize the source when you don't agree with it. That's the exact reason why I can't every really take your arguments/statements seriously, you just say whatever you want, and don't worry about logical consistency of your opinions. It's similar to your issue with not even noticing who you're talking to, you don't take the time to think about what you're saying, you just throw something out there on a whim, or at least it seems that way.

No. It's not ridiculous. For the reason that I'll say so and so got an Oscar. It's to stir an interest if it wasn't already present. Not to say "this guy is good. Want proof? He got an oscar". It doesnt work that way.

I'm just curious why everyon is saying this movie went "under the radar" It didn't have the box office openings of other movies... but everyone around Indy has been talking about it nonstop. Maybe its just cause i work next to the fashion malls art theatre...

Nah, it's cool. It actually makes things interesting for me. If we all just pretended to be nice guys with no true opinion of our own, it'd make forums pointless. I'm sure Martha Stewart's board even has annoying posters.

Nice to see a so many HBO (The Wire, Deadwood, Carnivale, Oz etc.) favorites getting together on the big screen.
Amy Ryan and Titus Welliver were outstanding in this one.. Nice to see Omar get a nice role as well..

I'm right there with you on this one. It's a tough choice, but to me it's the only choice that could be made.

Loved the film by the way. One of the better films of 2007

(honestly I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have liked the film if he let the Freeman character keep the child in the end. Kind of like Mystic River... which had me up til the end then lost me... fully and completely)
