Saw that last night before Iron Man... Nice, but it made me feel like I'd seen the whole movie...a bit too much in one trailer.
It should be awesome though. Do I see the emergence of TwoFace in this one?

Everyone knows he is Two Face though so it's no real surprise.

Looks a little too serious for a batman sequel. I liked it more when tommy lee jones played two-face and Jim Carey was riddler.. now that was a classic.

I'm really liking Heath Ledgers portrayal of the Joker though. His laugh is freaky.

I can't wait to see what they make two face actually look like. The description sounds unreal. Ledger as the joker is really really impressive.

This series is so much better than any of the earlier batman movies, it's not fair.

I think the Keaton Batman's were really good.

They were certainly the closest... but I still think these are much better.

True, I haven't seen the movie yet, but the stuff from the trailers looks like a great job portraying the joker. It looks like Ledger makes him believable, yet scary, which is a ridiculously difficult thing to accomplish for that kind of character. If you think that he looks boring, and like he portrays no emotion, then I don't know what the heck you're looking for. I'd rather have this realistic person than a cartoonish character any day.

Having standards is one thing. Trying to make yourself feel smart by being critical of everything is completely different.

Doesn't have to be cartoonish or over the top to be memorable. Personality, character development. Those are important.

I always thought he was underrated, but now that he's dead people are going to over rate the heck out of him. Ledger's performance before he died was being praised left and right - I like his performance for several reasons, but the main reason is that I think it most resembles what "I" imagine the Joker would be like - a pure psychopath. a man who cares nothing for the standards of the world, but instead has made up his own rules to live by and in doing so has become completely immoral, antisocial and gravely misunderstood.

Hedger's death was unfortunate and will probably overshadow his great performance.

I'm not going to judge too much by a 3 minute trailer. As I hope they're hiding his performance more than showcasing it here.
I just hope the trailer is no indication of what he put in to the character.

That's pretty cool, Avvie. That has to either be intentional, or known about. There's no way that they would just make so many similarities to the structure of the original trailer.

That being said, I like the look of the new one better.

I love the Joker's laugh. It's hair raising.

As for the same trailers, I think you will find a lot of Super hero movies have similar styled trailers.

- The hero jumping from a high place onto the ground/car/something.
- Villian doing something evil
- Hero and Villian going at each other.
- Always a woman involved (if man is a hero)
- Always a woman and villian clip.

I think they just follow a certain style.

That's not an original '89 Batman trailer. Someone re-edited the clips from it to make it work with TDK trailer. ;)
