I like the animations they have done with this.

Looks interesting. (and Lucas pockets another 10 million)

Looks pretty cool. I actually enjoyed the cartoon network adaptation also.

10 million is probably on the conservative end.. think of all the new action figures they'll get to come out with now... and 27 different versions of each one

I'll go see it just because I miss Star Wars. After episode 3, I thought my life was going to end. I didn't want to leave the theatre. On IMDB, it says George Lucas is doing a live action TV show focussing on what happens between episodes 3 through 4. Should be pretty cool, too.

the problem I have with the Clone Wars thing is that it's already been done
even though this looks to have been well done, it just reminds me to much of Episodes 1-3, when I'm really more interested in Episode 5

While I'd like to see a movie or animation adaption (or a 3rd game) I think the key to it was being the choices you can make more than the story itself (not that it was a bad story).

I'd have much preferred it had looked like the Clone Wars animation from the last cartoon series. The 3D animation in this new one looks silly...

I wish everything star wars related would just stop. I understand why it may have been cool in the 80s. It was ahead of its time. But it's 2008 now. We don't need anymore nerd flicks.

It's still a bigger money maker than anything you can think of.

Wish they would have done it live action. I might go see it.

You can buy/rent the dvd of those, of course. I wonder how similar the storyline will be, if at all?

The point you once again missed due to idiotic comparisons is that it still makes mega bucks thus it will not go away.

How'd I miss the point? You took up for it by using that crap "It makes money" logic.
Twist it now though. lol

It makes money is the point. And call it crap if you want (like you'd know) it's still a massive money maker and still highly popular. And for those reasons it will not go away.

Star Wars is a franchise going beyond movies. You compare a franchise over 20 years to two people and a single movie and there you have missed the point.

Twist it now though. lol

ahh typical Glote speak. When you can't prove anything put it back on the person who can actually prove it and use 'lol'.

When Britney and 50 cent and Titanic are still making money in 20 years time, come to talk me.

So because it was ahead of it's time in the 80's it developed a cult fan base, and will forever be a money-maker. Ok? So that's why they should continue putting out mediocre films and branch-offs?

That's what you were initially saying, right? lol

Please, stop beating the dead horse, why do we let the freakin Wars nerds come out of hiding so much?

I'm not a big fan of the goofy little droids, which look out of place with the rest of the characters

No. Don't forget the films are only a certain section of the Star Wars universe. The games, books, comics, merchandise still sells huge and are highly popular (and get good reviews).

The Video game KotOR I and II were critically acclaimed as was the Jedi Knight series. Force Unleashed is coming out soon and is (apparently) looking really good.

It's not like it is putting out crap after crap just to make money, there is some real solid stuff Star Wars related (of course if you are a fan of such things. And no I don't collect figurines or whatever).

Please, stop beating the dead horse, why do we let the freakin Wars nerds come out of hiding so much?

Thanks for the well thought out response. :sad2:
