SUMMARY: With the offense already discussed, let's shift gears to the defense. Here are my early impressions from the first week of training camp.

Defensive Line
Kyle Vanden Bosch: In 98 degree heat, you'll find KVB running down a RB 30-yards down field looking for the opportunity to swat the football and create a fumble. He's the kind of guy you hate to face but love to have on your team on Sundays. Same motor. Same KVB.

Another great article. My eyes and ears at TC, seeing as I can't make it.

Guys like KVB are guys that I like. They play with heart. They have a fire and intensity about them. They hustle. The game is not about getting as much money as possible. It's about playing a GAME for a living.
KVB is a one of a kind player. He has a future in coaching, I think, if he wants it.

;)Thanks again TJ...man I am pumped about our d-line. I think it is the strength of our defense and only makes our linebackers that much better....now, if we could only get rid of schwartz....;)

How does KVB keep the weight down? Guy must lose pounds every day in the heat.

Hayes is of particular interest to me. I am keen to see how he pans out.

Fowler shouldn't be starting much longer..

It's really hard for me to judge MLB play in training camp. I think that will be one of the more entertaining things about the preseason games. Fowler will play maybe a quarter (or less) and Tulloch will play the rest of the first half. I wouldn't be surprised if Tulloch isn't in after the first series for either Bulluck or Thornton on Saturday.
