I'm in a dynasty league and the rookie draft is a week and half away. Should I keep DeAngelo Williams or pick up Jonathan Stewart and drop DeAngelo.

View Full Version : Jonathan Stewart vs DeAngelo Williams maximus 08-05-2008, 10:18 PM I'm in a dynasty league and the rookie draft is a week and half away. I can see D-Will breaking off the bigger runs, but Stewart being the guy that gets the TDs. Childress79 08-06-2008, 05:18 AM Williams did zip last year. Only scored points in about 6 games.Very inconsistent. Carpy 08-06-2008, 07:57 AM Stewart is the better choice, and it's not close. The Gloat 08-06-2008, 02:50 PM Yeah, because Stewart is so proven. Carpy 08-06-2008, 03:20 PM Stewart is absolutely unproven I agree. But he is the type of back that fits what Fox and Davidson want to do on offense more so than Williams. I have no doubt he will get more touches than Williams and he'll certainly get the goal-line touches. maximus 08-06-2008, 06:43 PM I did some googling last night and ran across some websites. Evidently John Fox does NOT like DeAngelo Williams. DeAngelo sat behind Foster in Carolina. The Same Foster that is fighting for a 2nd string job in SanFran. John Fox reportedly is in love with Stewart and Stewart has gotten a lot of 1st looks. I'm leaning toward trying to get my hands on Stewart. After week 3 trade for whomever. Look at the Panthers schedule in their first 3 games. You can easily get him later. Starkiller 08-06-2008, 11:55 PM Stewart clearly, though it may be worth keeping Williams as a handcuff. Crash Override 08-07-2008, 02:00 AM I still think Williams is capable of being a top 10 running back but he is in a bad situation. He was great at Memphis. maximus 08-07-2008, 10:53 AM Get neither. After week 3 trade for whomever. Look at the Panthers schedule in their first 3 games. You can easily get him later. Its for a rookie draft in a dynasty league. He will not get through the second round of the rookie draft. 90% sure he won't make it through round 1 of the rookie draft The Gloat 08-07-2008, 02:58 PM I did some googling last night and ran across some websites. Deangelo needs a team that can use a gamebreaker @ RB correctly. Foster was terrible while Williams outperformed him constantly, yet Fox still kept Foster as the #1 getting all the carries. Whoever backs up LJ will get some carries. maximus 08-10-2008, 08:49 AM My deep sleeper is Jamaal Charles. Whoever backs up LJ will get some carries. He is another sleeper. But he could be had in FA in my league, I think. Burner28 08-10-2008, 12:20 PM Only draft him if you have LJ. |
