Normally the guy you wanted initially is the guy to go get, but we get distracted easily with all the coverage between the season and the draft.

Ive gone from wanting Te'o, to then wanting Star, then Warmack, to then wanting Elam, to then wanting Ziggy LOL, I've been all over the place. I really dont know who I want anymore, there's arguments to made for everyone almost.

Man... i'm almost completely off the OG at #10 wagon. I love Chance Warmack, but I think we have to go for an impact player. I personally believe we can pickup a guard in the 2nd or 3rd round and be OK. However, having a dominant OG like Warmack could do wonders for our line for YEARS. I still think we should pickup Barrett Jones w/ our first 3rd round pick (regardless if we go OG @ 10), he can go to the PUP if needed; then comeback to battle for RG spot, and become the starting center year 2...

Right now I'd rather take Star or Rhodes/Milliner over Chance.

The FO has committed to fixing the OL for a return to running the rock as its teams bread and butter. The plan has been conceived, plotted, and implemented....stay the course....Warmack/Cooper #10 2013!

This is true, but Guard at 10 is sooooo boring.

It was the front offices hopes theyd win in the offseason, and so far they have, but I really feel like they want an exciting pick to excite fans again.

Towards the end of the year LP Field was half empty after half time.

A guard is not a sexy pick by any means, but it may be the best pick. Having a guy like Chance would really pay off in all aspects of the game.. better running game, more sustained offense, more rested defense. Imagine running behind Warmack every 3rd and 3 for the next decade, or six years at least.

Here is my problem with chance. .. he'll come in, do great, play out his rookie deal, and then we will decide a guard isn't worth the huge money he'll demand in the market.

Might as well draft Ann impact defender that we might decide to keep long term.

I hope they stick to their board and don't deter from it just to make a sexy/exciting pick that gets fans excited. Winning gets fans excited not a "sexy" pick. Unless that sexy pick works but still, stay true to your board.

I'd rather Fluker than Cooper. It is just a feeling though.

Isn't that the case with any player? If we get great DE, DT, or CB, he will also demand more money. Those guys might even hold out early if they are good enough! Offensive Linemen basically never hold out. The only difference is that we may decide to keep the great DB/DE/DT, but another part of our team will suffer for it. So in the end it would balance itself out. Hopefully Warmack would stick with us after his contract, but if not, at least we get 5-6 years of great play out of him.

And on that note: He actually prefers playing right guard (per his interview on MCM radio - last night). Slide him right into the starting lineup.
