So this nonexistent deal he's going to sign with little guaranteed money that is incentive-laden is because of the signing bonus.

That makes not a damn bit of sense. It's not possible.

Actually, having reconstructive surgery can improve a knee joint.

So technically, he could come back better.

I'm sure it could, but do you think that was the case with all of the problems he had last season with both knees?

I voted no but change my mind to yes. He's in his walk year meaning he will put up monster numbers if healthy aka Haynesworth and then disappear off the face of the year like the aforementioned Haynesworth.

i like Kenny but unfortunately I probably would take that trade, If so would we take Patterson with the 10th pick? sorry is this hijacking the thread? If not that, definitely Hunter or Keenan Allen in the 2nd. (I think Keenan is going to be successful) . just a thought

    Signing Bonus $5 Mil

Base Salary Year 1 $1.2 Mil
Base Salary Year 2 $1.4 Mil
Base Salary Year 3 $1.5 Mil
    Base Salary Year 4 $ 1.8 Mil
    Base Salary Year 5 $ 2.5 Mil

Have performance incentives built into the contract each year for hitting certain goals.

I'm not a contract expert but would make good business sense to me.

Sign him to a long term deal early. It's a win-win.

Right now, I doubt the Titans pays him what he'll want and he'll be gone regardless of his production this season.

There are several receivers in this yrs draft that bring every bit the amount of pontential that Britt brings. It's doubtful they would be as productive as a healthy/legal issue free Britt would be. But I would bet against Britt playing more than 12 games anyways. And there is ZERO chance we bring him back after this season considering the headache he has caused the franchise this far.

He would never, ever agree to that. And the Titans would never offer that either. This isn't baseball. The NFL is all about guaranteed money. Britt wouls have to be a moron to accept that sort of deal. Even if he has a similar yr to last year, some team will give him a better contract on a per yr basis (definitely not as long though) with more guaranteed money.
