Escondido just came to me because I heard it on a WSP song I was just listening to. You know I hate when people call me queefer! You win! Anyway, I'm from Baltimore and I know that Austin has "it.". Baltimore city kids are tough as nails. You have to be. So, when I see this kid making it to the NFL I know he's going to give it all he's got. He will be a cross between Welker and harvin. Want to make a bet?

Harvin is bigger. I'm not saying the kid isn't talented, I'm just not sold on him where the rams took him. That was a solid reeeeaach lol. I wouldn't have been happy with us doing that pick, that's for sure.

For a team that sucked so bad and had so much going wrong for it, UT sure had a lot of players drafted

Yes there was talent there. The fact that they've had two losing seasons in spite of that points to the poor coaching.

Desean has had better than a so-so career, he's a very good slot WR and a fantastic return man. But even still, he isn't the sort of player you take with a top 10 pick. May be 20 or later.

This is tough for me because I really love Robert Woods. I honestly believe he's a Victor Cruz, Pierre Garcon type but unfortunately I think that is his ceiling. The fact that he is so pro ready and so polished can actually be seen as a negative because I can't imagine that coaching will make him all that much better, he may have already maximized his potential which is a great #2.

Hunter on the other hand has ridiculous potential and is only an NFL strength and conditioning program away from being an absolute beast. It's almost unfair to draft a guy with that kind of upside who has actually already proven he can consistently produce. Usually it's one or the other. I love the Hunter pick but will watch as many Bills games as possible :woot: .

Just from watching Highlights and tape Woods looks like hes a better prototypical NFL WR. He looks to be more physical and runs great routes. I pride myself on judging NFL talent while I like the upside Hunter has, I just think Woods will be the better NFL WR and that we wont be able to use Hunter's strengths that well b/c Locker cant throw the deep ball very well and that is what Hunter is best at!

Either way it wasnt worth the risk to trade up for him. We could have just waited and if he wasnt around then got Woods.

I trust Webster's scouting prowess a helluva lot more than I trust yours. I really hope this pick pans out. He's got all the potential and has produced relatively well. I think we may have gotten a steal.

I see where you're coming from.

To me, Woods has potential to be more of a Reggie Wayne/Donald Driver type of receiver. Good (not great) speed, impressive route runner, good hands, smart kid. Hunter has potential to be a Brandon Marshall/Julio Jones type or receiver. Athletic, deep ball guy, average route runner, and spectular catches occassional. Obviously i'm comparing them to great receivers, which either would be lucky to be on those 4 named receiver levels; but that's how I see it.

Hunter has legit #1 potential and is an endzone threat. He may end Kenny Britts time in Tennessee.
