Looking back i think one of the reasons they went with Griffin instead of Finnegan was because of the time Finnegan left training camp and was gone overnight because he was mad about the front office not making his contract talks top priority. Also at the time they did what they always do and that is let a good player walk instead of paying them.

I hoped they would've kept Finny instead of Griffin but it did not happen that way.Would've been awesome seeing Finny and Pollard together on the Titans D.

    Most certainly.

Morgan is the definition of mediocre.

When the best thing you can say about a player is "he's solid in run support", he's 1. A bust (if taken in the first) and 2. Nothing special.

that is the only person in history to claim that Derrick Morgan is worth that kind of money. Derrick Morgan does not think Derrick Morgan is worth that kind of money.

McCourty should thank Griffin and Morgan. Without them he would be the worst player on the D.

That's not the best thing you can say about him. I wrote a good post about him prior to the PFF posts. I made it a point to watch him last year, and I was impressed.

    Per CBS:
    4-3 Left DEs: Grade -- B+

    3. Derrick Morgan, Tennessee (39.5): Some would be surprised Morgan made this list but his production shows he deserves the spot. As the offense improves for Tennessee, the defense will get more pass-rush opportunities and Morgan could hold off some of the guys from the on-the-rise list.

Its hard to shine on a crap and tired D guys...

The two guys above him as 4-3 Left DE's on the top ten list:
    1. Cameron Wake, Miami (61): See Top 10 list.
    2. Chris Long, St. Louis (48.5): See Top 10 list.

If our team plays well, he should crack that list. With a bit more press coverage and creative schemes, Morgan will be even better.

Derrick must have taken a freelance writing position for CBS.

Morgan isn't scaring any QBs in the league. Ever.

Again, about the only good thing you can say about Morgan is: "He's solid in run support".

And... "hey, at least he's not injured now".

At this point, he's a bust. I doubt that changes. He was overrated to begin with and was never worth a 1st round pick. Probably not a 2nd round pick.

I don't think Morgan was a bust. JPP was our guy and he got taken. Nobody wanted to trade apparently. Without the injury, he'd have been worth a later 1st round pick. I think it is most fair at this point to say we reached and he got injured. He has another year left to prove he's not a bust and I think he WILL get another contract and be at least an 8 year vet.

    Ludicrous...

That is not the 'only good' thing you can say. He is a great rusher now. Did u not watch last season bro? Did you not see Morgan constantly on the field and constantly in the backfield? Did you not see QBs getting rid of the balls as soon as D-players came close?

Sacks we got seemingly only happened when the QB had no idea a player was close by, or he woulda found the outlet guy free...

Everyone says he played well and I made it a point to watch him and I definitely say that too. I analyzed him a lot throughout the year too. Why the hate, I just don't get it...

Also, mind you that the two guys he beat out are the two guys people really wanted us to sign this free agency:

    3. Derrick Morgan, Tennessee (39.5): Some would be surprised Morgan made this list but his production shows he deserves the spot. As the offense improves for Tennessee, the defense will get more pass-rush opportunities and Morgan could hold off some of the guys from the on-the-rise list.
    4. Michael Johnson, Cincinnati (38.5): Johnson got a franchise tag from the Bengals and is a rare athlete with height and long arms. At times he reminds me of Jason Taylor.
    5. Michael Bennett, Seattle (44): I can't believe the Bucs let him go. Now he fortifies an already good Seattle defensive line. Bennett may not have the production he had last year and could struggle to match his numbers from 2012.
