    Anyway. I'm waiting to see.

Just sucks people have their minds made up already. Which is clearly the case.

PS's games lately have made me wish I had a PS3 again. Xbox hasn't had any lately that make me thankful for only having the xbox.

So that'll weigh heavy. But again... that's more what E3 is for.

    I love this bit:
Ahh so you want to be able to buy a game and distribute it freely to all your friends, so they don't have to buy the game... I think that's called piracy, and obviously MS would do anything to combat it.
The fact that your friend can buy the game and it's instantly available after he has borrowed it from you is actually a great service.

Now the always-on bit about Kinect I agree is a problem. Of course any game can require Kinect to play, but it should ask the user for acceptance before turning it on.

Oh and after reading a little on the used game activation fee, I think the intent is to channel money back to the copyrights holders, who otherwise would get nothing from the reselling of their property (now whether you agree with intellectual property law is a different matter).

You would think that for Microsoft to do this, they as well would be benefitting from each "used" game fee.

Kinda like how live multiplayer games have started to die. Almost every games multiplayer is online exclusive now, and it's annoyingly so. This is just another step to be money grubbing whores.

The idea with Xbox is a good one. The innovation, user appeal as well as simplicity is frankly awesome.

However... What good does it honestly do if I don't have cable/sat TV? Lol kinda niche there again. Doesn't appeal to me as a "TV user" because I don't go the normal way of having cable or sat subscriptions.

The kinect add on is a funny controller and audio enhancing features... But if that ever got hacked... Oh my Jesus.

To me, if I can't purchase used games for it... It's kinda a done deal tho. Who's to say Sony can't implement some of these same features with their very own camera? Then what niche does ms have? A bad one. Sony and ms both hijacked the wii in terms of motion control... Fairly quickly as well.

Personally the xb1 doesn't seem like a bad system. Just pushed in a more mythological "family" room where everyone gathers to play games and watch movies. Extra control? Cool. Simple sleek design? Cool. 3 os's? Cool. Multitask and snap and Skype and apps and apps and apps... Cool. Used game fees? Fail. Creepy always on, privacy concern? Fail. And I guess it does play games... Cool.

To me the used game issue and the weird big brother camera out weigh the other stuff. If those can get hashed out... They'll be alright and I could look into buying one... Price is still a concern.. Extra kinect price off the tip... We'll see.

I don't understand the "24 hour MANDATORY" check in thing.. what if you go on vacation? Are you banned? Is your game disabled? Get the **** out.

    Definition of retarded. So stupid.

I have bought three used games in my lifetime... Never from a store either.

That is not a big deal at all. But I've heard Sony is going to be doing the exact same thing to me. Might put GameStop out of business which would be hilarious. It would, at the least, force them to drop their prices and do sales more often.

There is literally no point in buying used games when you can wait 1-2 months for a sale price of $39.99 or lower. So unless you're buying a really old game or a game that's less than the sales price of a new game, there's no point. GameStop is an utter joke, and I hope they go up in flames.

My friend bought NBA 2K13 at GameStop used for $54.99 while it was brand new on Amazon for $38.

Here are some brand new games that I bought within two months of their release for over 50% off:

    Gears of War 3 - $28
    Battlefield 3 - $28
    Arkham City - $28
    FIFA 12 - $28

    Stop buying used games!

The Kinect thing is a bit creepy if it is required to be on constantly. As long as I can still play/watch when I duct tape that PoS or turn it to the wall, it's fine.

Actually if you are unsure about a game, the used feature from GameStop allows you to take it back within three days. That's beautiful and I've used it many many many times. From the point of Sony doing it, there are no factual reports of them saying they are going to do that. At least to my knowledge.
