I can't see either Sony or EA dropping one or the other. Too much money involved.

Sony losing access to EA games would be suicide for them. The only company that can exist without EA is Nintendo. Everyone else NEEDS the Madden/FIFA crowd.

But on the flip side, EA can't do without Sony. Too many sales lost. It's lose/lose for both (probably more so for Sony).

Haven't ever played The Show, as I loathe baseball. But NBA2K11 & 2K12 (haven't played 13) were the best sports games I've played... maybe ever. So 2K is clearly capable of making extremely quality games. I have no doubt they would be able to put out a superior NFL game to Madden in their first year back. Hell, NFL2K and 2K1 were freaking amazing for their time.

No doubt about it, the Madden franchise needs competition. When they were going up against legit competition with 2K, they were putting out their best product ever. But ever since the exclusive license they've gone way off the rails. I'm not sure whether it's laziness or they're just misguided, but the product is somehow much, much worse despite drastically improved technology. It's crazy.

I agree, it's definitely a gamble on EA's part. But then again, the folks in Japan do not give a flying **** about Madden, and Microsoft had the U.S. locked up this past generation, so it's not that dangerous of a gamble. The folks who want to play Madden will buy the system Madden is exclusive on, and Sony just doesn't have the 1st party clout that Nintendo has.

Scarier thought: What if EA AND Activision are threatening to ditch Sony over this? Call of Duty and Madden as Xbox One exclusives would just be the end for the PS4 outright.

It is for Europe for Fifa though.

So to paraphrase, you previously said you sold used games to friends. Now you are saying you never did that.

You do understand the code for online play is not the same thing that has been talked about with XBoxOne? It's not a similar restriction at all. One is a fee to play online if you did not actually originally purchase the game, but you can still play the base game. The other is a fee to even activate the game and play it all and that fee is full retail price of the game. So really they aren't similar at all except they both have to do with video games? But I'm guessing you will disagree to disagree since you must defend XBox's honor at all cost.

Did you read that article? Sounds like PS has the clear advantage unless maybe somehow if used in the right possible way possibly maybe with correct caching which we don't know if that is possibly how it will be used then maybe possibly the XBox will come close sort of to matching the PS.

Whatever you XBOX fanboiz have to tell yourselves. Hell just go full on Dunce Wayne and pretend numbers are meaningless.

Somehow I knew EA was behind all this. I know they just got the rights to the UFC games, can't wait to see which franchises they ruin next.
