I'm not entirely sure what there contracts and savings are as cap casualties, but there's a ton of vets we can cut that are replaceable if we find ourselves in cap trouble: stewart, cj, washington (we've drafted wright & hunter), griffin (minimal savings i know), stevens & even wimbley

You can't exactly call Stewart a penalty machine. He had a bad stretch (6 in 3 games) but that means he had 1 in the other 9 (and missed 4) games.

Even if we over perform, I expect atleast 3 of those guys will be cut.

Washington and Stevens... Then Stewart or Johnson. Hopefully Johnson.

Same here i think it would be crazy as hell to draft a RB in the first especially when we already have a proven back.Lets say C.J. does good with the line being rebuilt and he has a really good season and runs for around 1,500 yards and averages 4.8 yards a carry and even has a couple more 80 yards plus runs during the season as well. Now why in the world would we cut our playmaker and one of our best weapons on offense and go draft an unproven rookie to save a few dollars. As far as Shonn Greene his expertise is busting through and gaining short yardage and thats about it.The front office is crazy if they think Greene is anywhere near the starting caliber back that C.J. is..Also C.J. is a weapon that makes things much easier for Jake Locker as well as the offense.

Very few teams are spending firsts in RBs. You're better off (even money wise) to take MULTIPLE later round rbs and create a committee. It's bad business for fantasy football, but since each piece of the pie only gets so many carries, specified role, you never have to she'll out rb1 money to any of them (of course unless one breakout as the clear cut guy)

Each player remains more fresh in games, each one has a designed role, and all three together make maybe half of cj2ks salary.

CJ certainly hasn't made things easier for anyone over the past few years. And if you're counting on a RB (less AP) to be your "playmaker", you are probably looking at a ceiling of about 8-8. But what if that RB doesn't give full effort, 4 to 6 wins maybe?

It's maddening to be paying this guy, or the RB position in general, 10 mil. There are too many teams getting more overall production out of there backs and at the same time, paying them a small fraction of what CJ makes. Treating the RB as the centerpiece to an offense has become archaic.

I know we haven't had great QB play, so we need someone to do something offensively, but the problem is that CJ doesn't win games, we've seen him play well all the while watching the team lose games. 10 mil. is not just a few dollars, but what do I know, I would have cut him the second he started playing on his own terms.
