All this talk about Batman whoopin Superman? Batman got his ass kicked (and back broken) by Bane and then Azrael got pissed off and kicked Batman's ass lol. Also, don't forget that Bruce Wayne also got his ass kicked by the Phantasm (a woman) lol.

This Superman was the most reckless, but yeah, seemed like all the buildings were vacant. Synder could have shown Superman using his x-ray vision and super-hearing to make sure no one was inside before smashing Zod into a building at least once though.

There were tonnes of DC tie-ins. But don't forget this is the first of the DC Universe tie-ins. Iron-man didn't have it either.

Keep in mind, Batman doesn't yet exist. The Nolan Batman isn't in this universe.

No and they wanted to know who Superman was.

No. They wanted to create a new Krypton.

America kills civilians to destroy 'the bad guy' almost daily.

Recently I asked my wife if she noticed that there was very little summer blockbuster hype this year...she said yes, she'd noticed. Since then I've heard that both MOS and Star Trek were dog squeeze. Looks like Pacific Rim might take the lead at this point...at least it's honest about it's silliness.
