So this is always a sticky situation with talent. Lets get some thoughts on who makes the team and who might be heart breakers.

    Qb-
    1. Locker
    2. Fitzpatrick
    3. Giraffe neck??? Does he really make this roster this year? Don't see the need tbh. We could roll with two right? Lol (why not VY.... Lol I kid.... But really tho...)

    29. Morgan
    30. Wimbley
    31. Ropati
    32. Edwards
    33. Klug

    LB-
    34. Ayers
    35. Brown
    36. McCarthy
    37. Gooden
    38. Fokou

    40. Willard

    CB-
    41. Mccourty
    42. Verner
    43. Sensabaugh
    44. Campbell.
    45. Wreh-Wilson
    46. Wooten (also sees time at Safety)

    S-
    47. Griffin
    48. Pollard
    49. Wilson
    50. Stafford

    K-
    51. Bironas

    P-
    52. Kern

I have some high hopes for a few udfas. Those are super unlikely to make the roster but whatever. Getting 53 that you like is pretty freaking hard.

No Damian Williams or Kevin Walter? I don't see the need for 7 LB's and 4 TE's. I think they'll keep at least one more OL than you have on there. And we'll probably keep a FB also, and not 4 Rb's.

I don't think the two wrs you suggest make it. Willard is a hope of some fresh blood in the lbs corps, but he could easily be gone. 4 TEs because I think they each do something different. I want Doyle on THIS team, not the patriots.

And if I have to cut a guy here it's Willard. I'd rather see the Mooney for FB but also 4 TEs mean Stevens sees FB snaps.

Preston had already outshine DW last season, he might get that last spot but that means we don't have a legit backup returner either, thus I went Ross over him and Mariani.

    3 play z, 3 play x

Britt, Hunter and Preston give us size.

Washington, Wright and Ross give us inside shifty guys and a possibly electric returner.

    I'll give it a go:

    Qb -
    1. Locker
    2. Fitzpatrick
    3. Smith

    RB -
    4. Johnson
    5. Greene
    6. Reynaud (open competition with Battle & Parmele.. depends on return duty)

    Fb -
    7. Johnson

    WR -
    8. Britt
    9. Wright
    10. Washington
    11. Hunter
    12. Williams (i think he sticks)
    13. Walter (his injury is hurting his chances, maybe Preston can take this spot)

    TE -
    14. Walker
    15. Stevens
    16. Thompson

    OL -
    17. Roos
    18. Stewart
    19. Levitre
    20. Warmack
    21. Velasco
    22. Schwenke
    23. Turner
    24. Otto
    25. Spencer (I think we'll carry 9.. we've carried 10 at times, but this is a versatile group)

    DT -
    26. Casey
    27. Lee Hill
    28. Martin
    29. Klug (wouldn't be shocked if he's cut in favor of dawson or harris)

    DE -
    30. Morgan
    31. Pitoitua
    32. Wimbley
    33. Edwards
    34. Solomon (he's a big maybe)

    LB -
    35. Brown
    36. Ayers
    37. Mccarthy
    38. Fokou
    39. Gooden
    40. Shaw (sticks cause he's a ST captain.. no room for willard unfortunately)

    CB -
    41. Mccourty
    42. Verner
    43. Sensabaugh
    44. Campbell
    45. Wreh-Wilson
    46. Wooten (i think we carry all 6)

    S -
    47. Griffin
    48. Pollard
    49. Wilson
    50. Stafford

    K -
    51. Bironas

    P -
    52. Kern

    LS -

That's the safe route. No doubt. Don't see a point brining in RBs if there's no chance for a move to make room. In your roster, Reynaud is forced in over 2 other possible rbs because he gets return touches. I think we make room for one of parmale or battle

I would prefer us not to keep Rusty.. a third QB is a waste of a roster spot. I know Locker is injury prone, so if he goes down for more than one game, we can always resign Rusty. Sign him to the practice squad.

Battle > Parmale. The real question is who do we play at FB? Stevens is good, but we might need some help at the TE position, especially if Walker is slow or gets hurt.

Mariani and Reynaud can't both make it, as we only have room for one return specialist. Neither player adds any value to the WR/RB position. I'd go with Mariani. I don't see Ross making it either.

It's really tough to decide between WRs.. Britt, Hunter, and Wright are safe. Nate is a step above the rest, and Walker/Preston/Williams are all good in certain aspects as well. I would hate to have to decide which ones to keep.

Williams, I'm sorry. I always get him and Hawkins mixed up.

Anyone else think we're really thin at DT? Casey, Hill, and Martin are the only sure keepers. I want to see us keep Klug because of his awesome rookie campaign; He's capable of playing at a high level.

I could see us keeping as few as 3 DTs and 5 DEs.

    DTs: Casey, Hill, Martin
DEs: Morgan, Wimbley, Pitotiua, Klug, Edwards.

Yeah we'll probably have to add a 4th DT, but then it would be tough to keep 5 DEs. For all the Klug haters, do you really want to cut a guy after one bad season when the entire team played poorly? He had 8 sacks in 2011 as a rookie. Morgan and Wimbley are sure keepers, and Pitotuia's size is too tempting to keep.

Rusty is no longer eligible for practice squad. I do agree that the 3rd QB is a waste of a roster spot. If we need a 3rd string QB, we are as good as doomed.
