With the starting offensive line holding veterans like Eugene Amano, Leroy Harris and Jake Scott...the defense showcasing players like Cortland Finnegan, Jason Jones, Dave Ball, Barrett Ruud, Will Witherspoon, Jordan Babineaux and William Hayes, this is a "big" difference in veteran leadership and locker room experience that really was the key overshadow of what was casted over Titan skies in 2012.....

Even though we had a series of injuries in the middle toward late in the year, we didn't play a (tenth) of the level we did in 2011....

The biggest loss in my opinion was Matt Hasselbeck, who not only was a great team presence, but mentor to Jake Locker who gets released and signs with our division rival....THIS IS WHY THE TITANS CAN NEVER GET OVER THE HUMP....!!!! The defense in 2011 finished 18th overall and (8th) in points allowed....the offense finished 17th overall and watched Nate Washington and Hasselbeck have career years....

I bring this point up hoping that after now quickly (re-building) this last past off season and restructuring the team on practically both sides of the ball, that "if" we have a good 9-7 or better year, to NOT GO BACKWARDS and LOSE KEY PLAYERS or COACHES....AND DON'T EVEN START WITH ALL THAT SALARY CAP BS, THERE ARE PLENTY OF TEAMS IN PRO FOOTBALL IN WORSE SHAPE THAT GET AROUND THAT....!!!

What ever....just trying to make a point about why in 2011 with "noddle arm" Hasselbeck, Cortland Finnegan, Jason Jones, Williams Hayes, Jake Scott, Eugene Amano and Leroy Harris, all gone mind you, come so close at a playoff team at 9-7, lose all these players, and stumble all the way back to 6-10 last year....???

Just trying to say, don't you guys see a trend about this team that makes every decision the organization makes so frustrating to watch....??? Finnegan, Jones, Scott, Harris and Hasselbeck should've stayed, with Hasselbeck starting from week 1 last year, instead of pushing forward too quick with Locker....Hasselbeck came in week 5, but could've had his own momentum from the off season into week one as the starter....

Just tired of chalking it up to "that's just business in the NFL" and continuing to accept decision's our front office makes year after year....I hope Mike Munchak and the Ruston Webster prove me wrong finally, and have a banner year with this team and Jake Locker...

But what the F(*&^*CK do I know, really...right???

Brackets, quotes, CAPS, who cares how one post a thought about their football team on a message board or "fan site." Do those quotes work (?) Just expressing thoughts about how this team needs to get better, by remembering mistakes made when this franchise comes off a playoff contending team from the year before....that's all folks!!!

That's kind of like reading Mike75's posts. He makes good posts, but the grammar throws me off. Especially when doesn't put a space after a period.Sorta like this.Throughout the whole paragraph.

But back to the point at hand. The reason these guys got let go is because they all sucked (except for Cortland, he was about money).

Amano: Worst Olineman in the history of the NFL, Harris: Almost as bad as Amano, Scott: Good at the beginning but blew his last 2 years, Jones: Too small for DT in our system and not explosive enough for DE, Ball: Concussion problems and I'm pretty sure he retired, Ruud: Sucked when he played then got "injured" and replaced by McCarthy, Witherspoon: Got too old and easily replaced by Ayers and Brown who are much better, Babineaux: Bad, Hayes: Bad.

If you don't see the pattern here it's pretty much that they all sucked in their final years here. I'm with the FO on this one that I would take talent over leadership. If you can't bring it on the field then there is no use for you on the team. I'm not going to pay guys millions of dollars to be glorified cheerleaders.
